Wait wha?, its not for userspace, its for Template:User UserPage FireFox ~ SCobra 20:57, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Then see it as a copyvio :) poke | talk 21:00, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Why is it a copyvio then? Mozilla allows the firefox logo to be used ~ SCobra 21:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm... according to the wikipedia page, it doesn't seem to be a problem. The only clause that might be problematic is the "non-commercial" clause. Would using it on a user page on this wiki be considered a commercial use? I think not... right? -- ab.er.rant 14:10, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Not in this case, it would be commercial if it said "Mozilla is better than this and that" ~ SCobra 15:49, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, Mozilla does grant usage of its icons based on a few terms, shorter described on wikipedia. I personally don't think this userbox qualifies as "commercial content" but more of a way of promoting firefox. — Galil 08:18, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Using the image here would mean the image is released under GFDL which is simply not true. We could use it as Fair Use - if we were allowed to, but we are not. Also according to this two pages, http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/trademarks/policy.html and http://www.mozilla.org/foundation/identity-guidelines/firefox.html, when the logo is used there has to be the TM correctly displayed. poke | talk 14:34, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
