Devourers are massive scorpion-like beasts with two tails. They are first seen in Ascalon where Devourer Eggs are hunted and their Poisonous Stingers are used for medicinal research. While most are vicious and attack anything, they have been known to be tame when raised from the egg by humans (see Joe), and some Ranger charr use them as animal companions.

Tactics

Devourers tend to burrow underground which gives them a tactical advantage over the enemy as they will be unseen until the enemy is already within their Danger Zone. When exploring in an area where there are known devourers, it is important to use your radar at all times to watch for new red dots that may appear.
