Charm a Melandru's Stalker and bring it to Master Ranger Nente.

Quest information

Deliver a Melandru's Stalker to Nente. The Melandru's Stalker will stay your pet.
Return to Master Ranger Nente for your reward.

Note there is no usual green star leading you to the target. For characters looking for a Stalker, it can be found just outside to the southwest of the entrance to The Breach, past the statue of Balthazar.

Master Ranger Nente: "Before the Searing many of the Melandru's Stalkers roamed the land. Now these great cats are nearing extinction, and if we are to know the true extend to which their population has been decimated I must keep an accurate count of them. If you can find and tame one of these beasts using the Charm Animal skill or if you already have one as a companion, bring it to me that I may update my current tally."

Accept: "I will bring you a Stalker."

Decline: "Perhaps another time."

Ask: "Find one of Melandru's Stalkers, tame the great cat using the Charm Animal skill if necessary, and bring it to me."

Master Ranger Nente: "To tame one of Melandru's Stalker is no mean feat. Well done, my friend, well done. It is good to see that there are still some who strive to preserve the natural balance."

If you already have a Melandru's Stalker as a pet, you can just wait a moment and then talk to Master Ranger Nente again and you will complete the quest.
If you don't have the skill Charm Animal you have to buy it in Ascalon City to be able to complete the quest.
If you already have a pet you cannot get another one. To do this quest, you will have to give up your pet to the Tamer.
