Error code

An error code is a message displayed by the Guild Wars game client when an error prevents the game from working properly.

| 005 | 2438 | "Guild Wars was unable to connect to the game server due to a network error. This may be caused by internet routing issues or a server network failure." | A firewall, antivirus, or router is blocking port 6112 and/or port 80. Netgear routers are also known to present problems (2607, solution for Netgear users). |
| 058 | 3104 | "Guild Wars was unable to connect to any login servers. This is very likely caused by an Internet routing issue." | |
| 007 | 2440 | "Your connection to the server was lost. Please check your Internet connection." | These error codes indicates a connection error. This means the connection between your PC and the server was interrupted, or never established. The problem may be on your system (firewall, router, modem, etc.), with your ISP or a connection problem at the server. |

| 045 | - | "Your account has been suspended from Guild Wars for offensive behavior, which is a breach of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct. | 058 | - | Network connection failure. Check your network settings and firewall. | Add gw.exe (or gwsetup.exe) to your firewall software exceptions. If possible put your firewall in "gamer mode" (Webroot with Sophos supports this). Disable PeerBlock as it will block connections from NC Interactive also causing this error. |
| 059 | - | If the account has been logged in for more than 24 hours it will be disconnected. Also, if the account is logged in and is inactive for more than 10 hours with no game play occurring, it will be disconnected. | - |

| 224 | - | "You may not log into Guild Wars from this location because this Internet address (IP address) has been permanantly banned for repeated violations of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct." | Exactly as it says, the IP address you are attempting to connect from has been banned from the Guild Wars servers. Contacting support over this issue is highly recommended. |
| 225 | [1] | "You may not log in from this location because this internet address (IP address) is believed to be running an open proxy or relay. You must connect directly to Guild Wars. Please see www.GuildWars.com/support/open-proxy.com.html for further information." | While the page is not valid, the code is. ArenaNet blocks open proxies to prevent bot networks. |

Make sure you entered your account information correctly. Check to make sure you registered an account with that name/address, and that you have properly spelled a valid character name.
If you keep trying and it doesn't work, the game server could be down. |
| 1751023 | - | "You entered a card number that is not valid for the type of card you selected." | You simply entered the wrong strings of numbers for the card. Please try to follow the cards numbering order. |
| 1751058 | - | fraud suspicion (code=1751058) | Using a Credit Card across a number of accounts too quickly can cause this error to appear, preventing further store purchases. NCSoft Support recommends waiting 24 hours before attempting again or the counter will be reset to 24 hours with each failed attempt. |
| 1751126 | 6571 | Indicates that your transaction attempt failed due to a connectivity issue between the financial institution and our billing system. If you receive this error, this means the transaction was not successful. | This code appears when trying to purchase something from the online store. The reason for this error is when too many people are trying to buy the products. And results in the traffic being too high. |
