The Griffon's Mouth refers to small cave system that connects the Northern Shiverpeaks to the borders Kryta. It is a much easier path compared to going over the mountains. The way is not without its dangers though, as Snow Ettins call this place home.

Getting there
The To Kryta: The Ice Cave primary quest will likely be the reason characters visit this location as it leads them onward to Kryta.
Other than that and vanquishing, there is little reason to visit this location.
