Halloween

Halloween is an annual festival that takes place at the end of October during the return of the Mad King Thorn from the Underworld. Some towns celebrate Halloween by decorating them to have an appropriately ghoulish and ghostly appearance. Preceded by his undead herald, Bruce the Herald and his undead horsemen entourage, the populace is warned of the Mad King's arrival. The Mad King travels to the cities of Lion's Arch and Kamadan, Jewel of Istan for the grand finale of the festival, where the people present are forced to obey the Mad King's sometimes silly orders or face death. Those who endure the whims of the Mad King are rewarded with tokens of his favor: several Halloween specific items, and decorative hats to wear.
Notes
- The lands of Cantha do not celebrate this festival.
- Halloween decorations were present in Droknar's Forge and in Tomb of the Primeval Kings.
