Table editing help request!

Ok my requests are always odd and wierd: I have three tables at User:Chieftain Alex/sandbox, I'm looking at the third one - there is an orange heading band, followed by a series of rows with weapons in them (no icons). How can I insert a light grey/silver line between the rows only? (I want to keep the main background white and the top bit in orange) I was thinking

I see what you've done, but that has a line between columns too :p (I'd asked for rows), but I can't even remember why I didn't want the current setup in my sandbox, so consider case closed.

Image redirect question

So basicly, when someone clicks on this icon he/she is redirected to my main page, but there's the annoying "(Redirected from File:User Sagittario Main page.png)". This doesn't happen when I click on an image on GWW main page. How have you managed to hide that? Thanks in advance -- Sagi 08:57, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Just like my signature, you want the link parameter:

Failed Feedbacks

Check this one: Feedback:User/Titani_Ertan/Allied_Battle_AI Revision as of 09:59, 2009 September 21 by Titani Ertan.

Observation: Adjust (old) hero AI to not rush for a spirit, is NO suggestion.

When I see a lot of obsolete or no use pages being deleted. Why do stupid pages such as this one remain "alive"? Why not dump them as well? Yoshida Keiji talk 12:08, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Countdown timers

I have seen clocks in special events but don't know where to find...their templates? Can we have one for the iirc with Lo Presti or somebody help me include one in my talk page? The difference between timezones is a killer for me, even when very good at maths. Yoshida Keiji talk 23:11, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Recent Changes Spamming

I remember I did this myself when I was a wiki noob, anybody can check my contributions back to my early days to find out. I kept doing that for three days and got a message in my talk page to use "preview". Since GWW is in low activity the 500 last edits can still let me see past the spams. I wander...What would happen in GW2W immediatly after it's release if just 5 players make around 100 edits each...how are we supposed to bookkeep?

What can a registered user do besides using a spammer's talk page if he/she is still not reacting to other's messages? Yoshida Keiji talk 07:58, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Beyond telling a vandal/troll to stop, the only thing a normal user can do is report them on the Admin Noticeboard (GW2W) and keep reverting any changes they make until an admin can deal with them. It's not a perfect system, but I'm sure you can see the implications of giving regular users "power" over each other (don't read into my word choice there, I'm tired :P).

That said, regular maintenance just depends on a dedicated community and spamming F5 on the Recent Changes page. If you start patrolling regularly, one method can be to scroll down to the last instance of someone reverting vandalism or an admin intervening and scan "up" (to the present) from there, that way you can reasonably assume that any edits prior have already been checked. I'm sure the community as a whole has learned a lot on the matter from this wiki that they'll carry over to the GW2W, and combined with the automated tools (such as AbuseFilter), I'm sure we'll have a handle on things. On a side note, I believe there are programs designed to make patrolling RC a lot easier, although for that Google can help you more than I can. ~Farlo

I forgot to mention one thing. Can't the Recent Changes have a function feature to introduce other user's names so that it won't list the edits of such people to clean up the Recent Changes listing? This would help "real" contributors to check without spams interference.

Not that I'm aware of... aside from the toggles at the top of the page I don't think there's any way to exclude certain edits or users. Again, 3rd-party tools might have that feature, but I've never looked into those. ~Farlo

I don't know how to fix this

To me it says "Extension:DynamicPageList (DPL), version 2.0 : WARNING: No results." - I dunno how to fix this, or where to put it to flag it as a faulty page, but hopefully here it will receive some attention. Cheers. --Alex Eternal 17:52, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

It cannot be easily fixed; the page was originally created without the necessary categories on certain other articles (mostly because the idea was implemented before it was discussed, fleshed out).
