Armor infusion is the only reliable protection against the Mursaat's and their constructs Jade Armor's and Jade Bow's monster skill Spectral Agony. To infuse your armor you need to bring a piece of Spectral Essence to one of the ancient Seers in the lands of Tyria. In return for the essence, the Seer will infuse the armor pieces worn by the character at the time. Spectral Essence is obtained by slaying an Eidolon (or Ice Beast). Each piece of armor can only be infused once, and the Seer will only infuse your armor once per essence.

[edit] Notes

  • A player with non-infused armor who is under the spell Spectral Agony suffers heavy damage, health degeneration, and movement and action speed reduction. This scales down per piece of infused armor worn as this chart shows.
  • Armor which has been infused will be marked as "Infused" on that piece of armor; this status displays like a type of armor modification, such as a Rune or an Insignia.

[edit] Heroes and henchmen

  • Henchmen are infused beginning with the mission Thunderhead Keep.
  • Heroes are always infused. This makes the dealing with the Mursaat and Jade constructs easier before you have had the opportunity to get infused yourself.
  • Pets are always infused.
