Kanaxi is a demon who dwells within the Deep, far below the Jade Sea. His exact origins are unknown as are his allegiances if he possesses any but he has begun to spread his power and assemble an army. When Luxon Reavers, delving deep into the Jade for high quality deposits, discovered him, his influence drove them to madness. The Outcasts now serve as minions of his growing Nightmare Horde.
The demon of nightmares is one tough customer, capable of inflicting a staggering amount of melee damage and keeping his Health bar full with a powerful healing ability called Nightmare Refuge. Heroes will only be able to inflict so much harm on Kanaxai unless he is knocked down. Once down, he can be harmed again, but he will get back up as soon as possible. Once his health reaches the next predetermined amount, you will have to knock him down once more before he will take any more damage.
To kill Kanaxai, your party will have to knock him down a total of 10 times. Every time you knock him down, he will spawn between 6 to 10 nightmare creatures that you must eliminate. While dealing with them, Kanaxai will have the chance to use his powerful healing abilities. Careful coordination of your team's attack will be critical to take him down for good.

- Kanaxai has an estemated health of 20 000
- Defeating Kanaxai spawns a Kanaxai's Chest that each player will be able to interact with individually. This chest will grant each player either one inscribable rare item or one of Kanaxai's unique items, as well as three shards of jadeite.
- Players who open this chest while in Hard Mode will receive two item drops and six Jadeite Shards.
- While he doesn't take damage until being knocked down at certain points of his health, skills that steal health such as Insidious Parasite will make him continue to lose health so long as he doesn't receive damage from other sources, such as a wand.
