He is a Member of the Ascalon Army and attained the title of Master sometime after the Searing. He is the father of Trooper Deeter Saberlin. He will join your fight against the invading Charr forces in the mission Fort Ranik. Before the Searing, he is the soldier who sends you on the mission with Prince Rurik which ends with the searing.
The Last time you come across him is in Beacons perch in the Shiverpeaks and from then on he remains there.
