No one is quite certain exactly what a Mursaat Token actually is, but when Mursaat are killed, they sometimes leave these behind. They are most likely carved from the same purplish rock that many of their other constructions are made of, but no one has been able to devise what purpose the tokens might serve. Some think they are carried by the Mursaat, perhaps as the source of (or as a focus for) their great power. Others think the Mursaat place a bit of their own essence into these tokens, which they may later use as the animating force for their Jade constructs (the fact that their jade constructs sometimes drop these tokens lends a certain logic to this theory). Considering how few people even know of the Mursaat's existence, it comes as no surprise that lore concerning the Mursaat is hard to come by. Whatever the case, a Mursaat Token thrums with power, but no one has yet figured out how to harness this power.
