Passive is a characteristic that might refer to a game mechanic that operates without active intervention by the player or the AI or a creature trait. For more information, see the relevant article:
- Passive skills
- Monster skills that are always on, e.g. Duncan's Defense or Undead Sensitivity to Light.
- Title effects produce a constant effect when a character displays a relevant title, e.g Stout-Hearted from displaying Deldrimor rank.
- Passive creatures
- Passive foes are creatures that appear either green or red in the compass, can be targeted by offensive skills, and do not aggro unless damaged or attacked by the party. All charmable animals are passive foes.
- Passive spirits create an area of effect while alive or upon death, e.g. the Spirit of Union created by Union.
