Sacred Flame

The Charr believe that the Sacred Flames are a sign of respect to the Titans and that if they are ever put out the Titans will unleash their fury upon them. The Charr select a specific few from their tribes, usually the bravest, most courageous or strongest, and they become Charr Flame Keepers. The Flame Keepers, put into groups of four, are charged with the protecting and keeping the Sacred Fires burning for all eternity. The Sacred Flame is the basis of Charr beliefs and disaster would erupt amongst the Charr if the Sacred Flames were to ever diminish. The Sacred Flames are also a sign of courage, bravery and hope to the Charr, when in battle and at home. The Charr are united together when they see them and would lay down their lives for the Sacred Flames to burn on forever.
