Trivia
Real Sai are NOT daggers. A Sai is a pointed truncheon, it has no sharp edges. Although Sai mastery includes many stabbing techniques, it is mainly used for movements that strongly resemble empty-handed forms. Sai are a traditional Okinawan martial arts weapon; the origin of the Sai is disputed as either once having been an agricultural tool, or always having been a weapon. They are traditionally wielded in pairs, with a third one held back for throwing or if one is lost during the fight.
