Talk:Called Shot

I found a good use for this.. Use with Broad Head Arrow to get it through the block to interrupt. Halogod35 18:23, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Called Shot + Grenth's Grasp + Apply Poison = annoying. cripple shot might work better but called shot's laser-like speed makes it impossible to miss.--Justice 23:02, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Called Shot + Conjure Weapon (fire, frost, or lightning) = good PvE supplemental attack. Put it this way: with Conjure Weapon, Favorable Winds, and Read the Wind, your standard attacks will be hitting hard; your special attacks will be hitting much harder. Your chief concerns will be having your shots blocked, blindness, and running out of energy. This ability costs only five energy, so it saves energy, spikes your damage (by adding another standard attack outside the rotation) and prevents blocks. Excellent as a general-purpose PvE ability with this build.
- I gave this a run, and though I don't have any hard numbers, I got the following impression: the low energy cost is nice, but the cast time on Called Shot can disrupt your auto-attack fire cycle if not timed correctly; in addition, abilities like Shadow of Fear and Faintheartedness lengthen the cast time even further. Though this ability helps against blocking targets, particularly in the early game, it's possible that this ability is better replaced with an elite skill with similar effect.
