Drop rate
The drop rate for these is so low ;_; --Santax (talk · contribs) 12:17, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- The drop rate is very low, and I've been farming the big ones out in the Floodplain. There are like 6 of them; I got 2 drops in one run, and nothing since. They really need to up the drop rate of these things. Tender Wolf

- Farmed for 3 hours, the two Irontooths outside Champions Dawn (run out, kill the drakes, map back to CD, WRR). Each run takes (me) about 2 mins, average. So that's 180 mins farming, 90 runs, 2 drakes per run, 180 drakes, and not a single chunk of flesh. My wife finally got hungry and wanted to go to dinner, so she jumped in, farmed CD for about 5 min., got me my chunk of flesh. Random is random, and a pain in the a$$ is a pain in the a$$.

Fav farming spot
So, i take it there is some sort of competition between the Rilohn Refuge farm and the Methani Keys farm. I'm voting Keys since the drakes there are killable with any build, but the run is pretty long. :( Also I find it strange that the page mentions the chance to get chunks in the Keys isn't too great. Why is it put there? Pastafarian Hunter 18:07, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

- Ditto on the flood plains, with Drakes on a plain quest... I get at least 1 chunk per run 3-5 min run... other people were having better luck at 2 per run, bastards. >_< --Lania Elderfire

- Lania, ppl in my guild were getting 3 chunks in Keys. Twice. You can't imagine how I hated the guy :P 84.85.197.187 19:55, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
- my favorite spot is in plains of jarin outside champions dawn there are 2 drakes and a lot of juvenile bladed termites but they won't attack you, and any character would be able to farm these drakes solo. Sjacie

Keys Farm Guide
So personally I find the Keys farm the fastest, simplest, and most rewarding of the farm spots. First there are 6-8 Drakes that can be easily reached usually w/o aggroing any other enemies along the way (with the exception of one popup group of mandragors by the 2nd Drake spot that your spirits will quickly dispatch). As my screenshot shows, the entire run is 3min and nets 1-3 chunks per run. Reasons I don't like the Refuge farm? 1, they are higher lvl so take longer to kill, 2 Dehjah has to be watched, 3 you have to bring Masters which reduces your drop rate. In the map pic I have circles where you'll find the Iron Drakes (the only ones that drop the Chunks in his map) and the best route to follow to weave in between the enemies. If you aggro just hit SoS and Dash and ur free (unless you somehow aggro the pirates and they hit u with the net hex). Hope this is helpful to someone.
