Shouldn't there be a Paragon icon next to her name in the Gods template? Rose Of Kali 08:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Please take a look at this discussion. --Xeeron 09:42, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] move

I slightly disagree with the move for above mentioned spoiler reasons. Since goddess of truth = Abbadon + Kormir, two pages can also be justified in terms of lore. --Xeeron 20:22, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Also they are technically not the same person, although they were originally..--TimOfDoom 20:08, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

I would have to disagree with the move. though technically they are the same person and two different ones, i'd hate to have a spoiler like this for the new players.

[edit] Removing note about lack of an Avatar skill

Kormir is not the only God without an Avatar. The note about Abaddon not having one either, while true, doesn't even come close to telling the full story. The Old Gods all have avatars. The others (Abaddon, Dhuum, Menzies, Kormir, the Great Dwarf, etc.) do not. Kormir not having an Avatar is nothing special, it's completely logical considering that she's not a God of Tyria. I'm removing the note, as it is simply not true, and if it were fixed it would no longer be noteworthy. -- Vorith (talkcontribs) 17:27, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Though the note is still there in the current edit of the page. -121.221.29.106 09:01, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
The logic doesn't make much sense. Abadon and Dhuum were both gods before Grenth, for instance. Abby was considered to be one of the six true gods, and following Nightfall so is Kormir. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:88.106.216.1 (talk).
Dhuum and Abaddon don't have Avatars because they were "kicked out" before the Dervish profession was created during the Shattered Dynasty era (stated in the NF preorder disk). Kormir can after the creation of the Dervish profession. So bringing up Abaddon and Dhuum, especially Menzies and the Great Dwarf (neither are known to be genuine gods, second isn't even a human-worshiped god and dwarves don't have dervishes - except for one stone summit). However, Kormir wouldn't have an Avatar in GW1 due to her being a brand new god at the end of NF. Either way, it would be logical for her not to have an Avatar, same with Abaddon and Dhuum. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 19:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
It could also be that the other Gods never created Avatars in their image to bestow upon their followers, or they created them in different ways. Abaddon effectively corrupts, he turned normal humans into Margonite, so they're (effectively) his Avatars, bestowed with his 'gifts'. This might be something to ask some Arenanet staff. In respects to Kormir, perhaps there's no need for her to create an Avatar of herself, perhaps as she herself states: "We don't have to be driven by gods and their avatars" which is a quote from Kormir's dialogue in the Gate of Madness mission. Humans, in her eyes, armed with courage, strength, wisdom and will might be enough. Another possibility is that the player is her chosen, perhaps after the player (or others involved) dies there may be a need for her to create one, so others (not as strong or as experience - having not challenged a God and won) can be her Chosen and receive her Blessing. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 11:06, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Just to point out something 0, what you are talking about are chosen of the gods (Ewan, Desmina, Doric, etc.) and those gifted by the gods (Margonites), and what is being discussed here is the Avatar skill. If Avatars are kept for GW2, then Kormir will more than likely have an Avatar skill. The only way an Avatar of Kormir skill would have been in GW1 was if it was added to Utopia/EN. Avatar skills and Chosen/Gifted of the Gods are two completely different things. -- Azazel the Assassin/talk 14:07, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
