Trivia

The books Starless Night and Siege of Darkness by R. A. Salvatore feature the subterranean city of the Drow, the Dark Elves. In one of these books, the readers play witness to an unending power struggle in the city. At some point in one of these books (Siege of Darkness, I think), a Drow House Mother named Kyorl Odran is murdered whilst praying to the Spider Goddess for power. It may be a point of trivia that Lord Odran could be in reference to House Odran from this series. Also, when Kyorl Odran was murdered, her house lost all favor with the Spider Goddess, much the same way the Lord Odran lost favor with the gods of Tyria in Guild Wars mythology. Interesting stuff. Thoughts? - Ara ~ A R A ~ 02:32, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

May I ask, aside from the name are Lord Odran and Kyorl Odran the same? First, by your wording, Kyorl Odran was female, Lord Odran is male. Second, the only connection you made aside from name is the last sentence of what you said - "when Kyorl Odran was murdered, her house lost all favor with the Spider Goddess, much the same way the Lord Odran lost favor with the gods of Tyria in Guild Wars mythology." - however, the favor of the gods of Tyria was not lost, from what we know, at all. It is not mentioned the gods ever favored Odran, nor is it mentioned that he lost favor. All it mentions in regards to his death is that ghosts learned how to interact with material things once more - i.e., they were able to do more than simply go through Odran - and thus killed him. So, where is the connection because I don't see it. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 04:29, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
