Talk:Red Iris Flower
From Guild Wars Wiki
If you find a flower in a GW:EN zone: Add them into the notes section for now. I'll be reformating the article later to better suit the changes from GWEN --Grash 05:47, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Just got one in Ice Cliff Chasms. -Auron 09:22, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yep --Valshia 00:06, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to do some work on the locations where the flower can be located later.
Right now add I'm adding new zones in the notes section.--Grash 10:55, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Got one in Dalada Uplands. dominique · (talk) 11:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
I just added Dalada in the notes after finding one there myself. --Grash 05:47, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Flowers and the Tapestry Shred: I've given her a lot more than 5 and didn't get a tapestry shred, I think it got changed with the release of GW:EN. Etienne 13:43, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- You have to give her 5 at one time.
- I had 64 flowers, and the bint took every single one of them and gave nothing. Anon-e-mouse 19:17, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I have not heard any changes to Pre-searing Gwen. I've checked other sources of info. Until then, I've reverted your changes. (I've noted this on the Tapestry Shred Talk page as well) --Grash 14:32, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Are all flowers noted?
I don't know if this is worth changing, but i always seem to find flowers inbetween Althea's Actors Stage and the gate to the Northlands in Pre.
- I actually just found one on the gate, right next to the lever. Is it even confirmed that there are only preset points for potential flower spawns? If so, I think there are a lot more than the page lets on. 128.163.7.99 18:11, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, that one is ID'd as "near the stage" (it's always between the wall and the lever, sometimes out of reach).
- No, all the irises in pre-searing have been noted here (some with more/less detail)
- Sort of, they are not pre-set; instead, they fall into a pattern of spawning one per drop zone and the drop zones are set. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:01, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Nicholas the Traveler
Should remain on the page as a collector with the note that he only takes these on specific days/weeks. I think it's fine the way it is now. -- Wyn

- /agree or the note could even be changed to "at certain times".

[edit] Item type
I have changed the item type to Trophy from Quest Item, as this is a better fit:
| Category | Criteria Matched | Matched and |
|---|---|---|
| Trophy | 2 of 3 | Stacks, has value, has collectors, |
| Salvage Item | 2 of 4 | Stacks, has value, has collectors, |
| Quest item | 2 of 4 | Used in quests, cannot be salvaged, |
None of the categories are a perfect fit. Irises are, in effect, a Trophy that drops without requiring a monster death (complete with a sound effect that plays when approaching within compass distance of the iris) — in fact, prior to the 4th Anniversary changes, Irises only appeared (aka dropped) when the player was close enough. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:20, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
