It's like Alaska all over again!

Marty for short.

His name is Martin. is for Raine, etc. 09:28, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Martin is an excellent name for a moose. Misery 09:30, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
Marty, for short. EDIT: sign. --Curin Derwin 09:32, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm having fun with markers. Does anyone else need any 30-second drawings? is for Raine, etc. 09:34, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
A cute tiny, itty-bitty potential siggy for Curin? The color blue is preferred! =D --Curin Derwin 09:36, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
A blue what, though? D': is for Raine, etc. 09:52, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
I gave it some deep through and arrived at the conclusion that... I have no clue. Do you have any ideas? =P --Curin Derwin 05:34, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm out of town for a while, and I don't have any of my gear with me. So I'll have to work on it when I get back. But no, no idea. is for Raine, etc. 06:15, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Meteor Shower

Please explain your action:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=Meteor_Shower&diff=1781038&oldid=1728232
The comment you left "=/" is not descriptive, in my opinion. --Slavic 09:44, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Meteor Shower is used primarily for its continuous knockdowns. It mostly acts as an AoE snare with reasonable damage to hold mobs inside other DoTs. Maelstrom is used essentially to shut down casters and you really need an additional snare for it to be effective, or a situation where people can't really escape it such as Heroe's Ascent. Saying the two are related is a bit like saying Gale is related to Power Spike, you can get a similar effect out under certain circumstances, but the interrupt is much better for interrupting and the knockdowns can do so much more. See, part of the problem is all of that cannot be fit inside an edit summary, hence, "=/". Misery 10:05, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
OMG, Misery, I see that you really try to improve articles according to your understanding of some details how skills are working and are used on practice. It's almost the same situation like in my previous note. But please, try to understand me too, I don't like the unexplained deletion of some information which I used to see in articles and which (as I hope) can help people, in particular, in creating their builds when they can see the skills with similar behaviour and read the helpful notes. I understand that it's a kind of controversion between "strict" style of article with limited amount of references ant notes, as should be according to Wiki policies, and putting on the page a lot of suggestions, advices, different opinions and recommendations about builds and tactics, which could be good for education purposes, but doesn't follow the traditional Wiki style. Well, I need to thank you again for explanation and I really wouldn't like to disturb you often. I also hope that you understand my concerns... --Slavic 10:30, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
It's really not a problem at all, I'm happy to explain any of my actions. I'm not always right and people should feel free to question and even undo my edits. Happy editing. Misery 10:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Not meaning to be offensive, but I'm sometimes very surprised by people not realizing what others think. ---Chaos- (talk) -- 16:37, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

You could have guessed that block of text by a =/  ? Titani Uth Ertan 16:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
In this case, pretty much yes. ---Chaos- (talk) -- 18:57, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
What? Misery 17:21, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
I am quite annoyed by people who are too lazy to try and understand why certain things are the supposed to be expressed/used in a certain way. I am also quite annoyed by indirect wikilawyering over silly things like edit summaries. Pika Fan 19:08, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Rawr rawr rawr, I'm Pika Fan and I am angryintolerant of blithering idiots all of the time. Misery 19:13, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Corrected. Pika Fan 07:22, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Hehe, There are good builds with Meteor Shower and Rodgort's Invocation in them. Some just don't know how or when to use them. ^.^ *amused* 72.148.31.114 17:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

n00b question

What's the user rights change (besides the obvious) and why is there so many recently? Titani Uth Ertan 19:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Checkuser was recently installed on this wiki and people decided that all sysops and bureaucrats should have it, so I gave it to all sysops. The bureaucrats all had it already, as did poke for testing purposes. Misery 19:19, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Neat, thanks. Titani Uth Ertan 19:21, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
nother nub question can i keep dots in my new sign 127 0 0 1 23:26, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Well, because I am a bit of an asshole, if it were me I would put the dots in and wait until people complained. It's impossible to claim you are impersonating anyone, because no one can ever have that IP assigned to them. Misery 23:29, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
realistically, using 127.0.0.1 in your sig is the same as using 255.255.255.255 or 1.1.1.1 or 0.0.0.0. Someone without any technical knowledge would be confused, but anyone with any experience with computers would see it as v obv. ··· Danny Pew Pew 00:05, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

That was done by the server. poke | talk 17:42, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
