Type Monument
Campaign Eye of the North

"Devotion" is the monument to miniatures in the Hall of Monuments; it can display up to twenty miniatures at a time.

Location[edit]

Text[edit]

If no statue is displayed:

In all things, there is a time for work and a time for play, for small pleasures
A time for one to look back upon bright days and delicate treasures
Never lost and never weary.

The miniatures collected by <character name
"or" character name and their account> belong here.
Ask Examine the Monument to Devotion.
If no tapestry:
The monument looks empty. A tapestry covering the wall behind it would make it seem more complete.
Yes Display a tapestry. (If one is in inventory.)
The room courses with energy. You have unlocked the Monument to Devotion. Your miniatures may be displayed here.
Ask Examine the Monument to Devotion.
Ask View the "Devotion" inscription. (Returns to the initial dialogue.)
If no statue is displayed:
The monument is empty.
Yes Display <miniature name>. (If a dedicated or un-dedicated miniature is in inventory and the monument does not have that distinct miniature dedicated to it. Appears for each distinct miniature in inventory.)
If it is a dedicated miniature:
This <miniature name> has already been dedicated in another Hall of Monuments. The monument does not respond.
Ask View the "Devotion" inscription. (Returns to the initial dialogue.)
If it is an un-dedicated miniature:
<Miniature name> will forever be marked as having been dedicated in a Hall of Monuments. No other characters will be able to display it in their Hall of Monuments. Are you sure you wish to proceed?
Yes Display <miniature name>, forever marking it as dedicated. (Plays cinematic.)
No Think it over some more. (Returns to the initial dialogue.)

If at least one statue is displayed:

In all things, there is a time for work and a time for play, for small pleasures
A time for one to look back upon bright days and delicate treasures
Never lost and never weary.

Witness here the miniature collection of the legendary hero, <character name
"or" character name and their account>, whose achievements will never be forgotten.
Ask Examine the Monument to Devotion.

Notes[edit]

A dedicated miniature and an un-dedicated one.
  • Adding a miniature to the monument changes it from Un-dedicated to Dedicated.
    • Any character can use a dedicated miniature, but it cannot be added to the Devotion monument for any other character.
    • Deleting a miniature or trading it away will not remove it from the Hall of Monuments and will not "un-dedicate" it.
    • Beware of scams: there is no way to un-dedicate a miniature.
  • If you have two miniatures of the same type in your inventory, one dedicated and one un-dedicated, the monument will only acknowledge the one which appears first in your inventory. If this is the dedicated one, you will not be allowed to display that type of miniature until you swap the two miniatures' positions in your inventory.
  • Although you can dedicate any number of miniatures, only 20 can be displayed at any one time.
    • The Hall of Monuments is subject to the same 20 miniature limit of any other area; you will be unable to take out any if you are displaying the maximum. Instead, you will see the message, "There are currently too many miniatures in this district. Please try later."
  • Displayed minipets continue to make sounds and perform their idle actions (e.g. Charr Shaman swaying its tail) as if they were in an explorable area.
  • Unlike the other monuments, you cannot choose precisely which 20 miniatures to display, although you can rotate the selection.
  • As noted above, the Hall of Monuments reward calculator only counts distinct miniatures; if two characters on your account dedicate the same mini, it is only counted once.

Trivia[edit]

  • Originally, miniatures became customized when added to the monument and only the owner could use them. It is also possible to un-customize them, which makes them dedicated instead.
  • The Tapestry depicts concept art for Sorrow's Furnace constructs that were never implemented.
