Travel to the Canthan mainland from Shing Jea Island, where your first task will be to deliver the news of Yijo Tahn's death to his mother.

Speak with First Mate Xiang on the dock in Seitung Harbor to receive the quest. (Only available after completing the Zen Daijun Mission.) Talk with him again to arrange travel to Kaineng Docks. (Once you have at least The Marketplace on your map, you will no longer need to talk to Xiang to travel back and forth to and from Shing Jea Island.) Speak with Headmaster Greico, and then travel to The Marketplace. Leave The Marketplace to the Southwest, following the water West, be careful not to aggro too many mobs, as it can be quite tough to deal with more than one group at a time. Once you reach Kegai the collector turn South and follow the path, before crossing the next set of water turn left and head up the stairs where you shall find Master Togo. Speak with him to continue the quest. Double back on your path and follow the stairs back down, cross both small bridges to the other side of the river. Turn East and progress up some more stairs, follow the narrow path between the two pillars leading East. (A few Am Fah may spawn, they'll go down reasonably easy if you take out the healers first. See note at end how to reduce Am Fah encounters.) Continue Southeast to find Tsungfa(Materials) and Lintao(Collector). Talk to Jia about the quest. To collect the reward for the quest, go back through the Marketplace and on to Kaineng Docks, talk to Headmaster Greico and you're done.

First Mate Xiang
You must be <Player name>. Master Togo has already left along with a few of the headmasters and some of the monastery's other promising students. He hopes to find more explanation about the plague in Kaineng City. When you are ready to leave for the mainland, talk to me and I shall help transport you there. Once you arrive on the Kaineng Docks, seek out Headmaster Greico for further instructions.
Yes Accept: "I will set sail immediately."
No Decline: "I have other obligations I must attend to."
Ask Ask: "Headmaster Greico waits for you at the Kaineng Docks. You should hurry; the plague spreads with every second you linger here."

Greetings, <Player name>. I trust your trip was uneventful. Master Togo would like you to meet him in Wajjun Bazaar. He asked that you make haste.
Master Togo
Ah, good...you have come to join us. I fear we will need all the assistance we can get to stop this plague. First, however, you and I have another important task we must attend to. Yijo's mother has a shop here, and as Master of Shing Jea Monastery, it is my duty to inform her of what happened to her son. You and Yijo trained closely together, and you were there when he died. Perhaps if she knows that he died with honor, she will find some consolation...however small.
The last time I saw Jia was when I came to announce Yijo's acceptance into the monastery...
Be on your guard. The beasts here are stronger than the ones we have faced previously.
I barely recognize this area. The plague has caused even more damage than I feared.
Jia
Master Togo... Kei na Kai! Your presence here with a student other than my son can mean only one thing... But I knew this... even before you came I knew that my son was dead. I have heard of the plague reaching the monastery, and I dreampt of my son's passing many times in the last few days. Your presence here only conforms my dreams....
I am glad that Yijo did not have to see what has become of us here...how badly the plague has affected us. I pray only that he died with honor. Now, please leave me to grieve.

It is never easy to tell a mother that her child is dead... It was good of you to accompany Master Togo and to offer your condolences to Jia. Yijo would have wanted that.
While you were helping Master Togo, some of the other profesors arrived. They headed off towards Wajjun Bazaar.
