First, one must make sure they have the Barradin Family Urn.
Head to Diessa Lowlands in order to reach the Flame Temple Corridor where the ashes are located. It is easier to start from the Grendich Courthouse, but if player hasn't been there yet, it's possible to start from Piken Square and get to Diessa Lowlands from The Breach. The entrance to the Flame Temple Corridor is in the northeast corner of the Diessa Lowlands across the large tar pit.
Once at the Flame Temple Corridor, fight several groups of Charr and get to the altar where Althea's ashes are. There will be four Ascalon Strikers allies, but they aren't very strong. It's advisable to clear a single path towards the altar. The altar is guarded by a large group of Charr, so player should try to avoid aggroing too many groups at once. After the Charr has been cleared, interact with the Altar and the Barradin Family Urn will turn into the Urn of Althea's Ashes.
An alternative to killing the large groups of Charr at the altar would be to just run up and click on the altar, instead of fighting the Charr. Consider using henchmen as a decoy.

- "I have been thinking about this story you told me of my daughter's ghost. I fear she cannot rest until her ashes are recovered and properly interred. Please go to the Flame Temple Corridor and gather Althea's ashes. Bring them back to me so I can lay her to rest. You'll have my gratitude."
Accept: "I'll take care of it."
Decline: "I'm sorry. I have other things I must do."
Ask: "I know that what I ask of you may not even be possible, but I'd be grateful if you'd try. Bring me Althea's ashes so she can rest in peace."

- Having The Titan Source active will make this quest much more difficult.
- To collect the ashes one must have the Barradin Family Urn in your inventory.
- If player does not have the urn in their inventory, talking to Duke Barradin will give another.
- It is possible to get multiple urns by placing them into the Storage and talking to Duke Barradin.
- Having multiple urns into the inventory, it is possible to interact with the altar multiple times to get multiple ashes from one single visit.
- It is possible to complete the quest by buying the ashes from another player.
