Anti-summon skills are those that serve as counters to hostile summoned creatures, by dealing additional damage, recharging more quickly, moving spirits, or turning the summons against the enemy. About half of the skills work on any type of summons, while the remainder work only on minions or only on spirits.

- Anti-summons skills do not affect Asura summons; they are considered to be animated Polymock pieces, constructed by Asuran technology.
- Anti-summons tactics also include applying hexes or conditions to minions; since they cannot remove these effects, the minions tend to suffer the full effects. Similarly, burning can be effective against spirits (they are invulnerable to hexes and other conditions).
