Custom Guild Halls (Discussion)

The Option to customize your guild hall within fixed parameters. E.G have your guild banner all over the hall or your guild emblem on the wall, traps, environment features etc etc.

Why this is a good idea
  • So every Guild Hall would be unique unlike today in guild wars when the only difference is the type of hall and the number of NPC's you have.
  • You could start with a standard type of hall and use that as a base to expand off of. For example, there could be a "Warrior's Isle" hall similar to the current one, and guild leaders could add things like siege weapons, traps, and walls to the hall.
  • and they could balance it making it to were only a certain amount of traps and walls could be added, and they could easily make guidelines for it.and hey if runescape could make hoses then they should be able to do this
  • would be nice to be able to put the NPC's where you want them
Why it may not work out
  • Adding extensive features to a hall could be extremely difficult.
  • Players could build overbalanced halls; that is, someone could build a hall that would be nearly impossible for attacking characters. To counteract this, there could be certain restrictions placed on new features (i.e. all new walls added must have at least two gates).

Guild Hall Editor (Discussion)

Allow players to design and create Guild Halls from scratch. These halls could be saved and loaded by other Guilds.

Why this is a good idea
  • Customization is fun and good
  • Could help designers with new concepts.
  • Will not have to see same old guild halls over and over again.
  • user defined guild halls Will be harder to capture if that is a feature
  • easy to set up an agreed upon "arena" for PVP, whether Guild Hall prototypes or other.
Why it may not work out
  • Guild Halls are currently used for Guild Battles and are made to be balanced. User created halls have no such guarantees.
  • Where to store it.
  • Amout of support tickets due to confused players.
  • More time needed to create software to make them.

Suggestions:

  • maybe something along the idea of having a guild own a small town rather than just a hall would fix some problems. You could have a battle hall that is balanced for fair game fighting and then have a cool place for guild members to hang out dance and have fun.
