[edit] PvE
[edit] MA Anathe's Issue -- 04:26, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Issue
- One-shot e-denial effects are incredibly weak in PvE due to minimal energy management on monsters. They have less skills to spam and +1 inherent energy regeneration bonus. Effectively, E Drain and E Tap are nothing more than (0...12...15):
- Energy Tap - Gain .41 ... .95 ... 1.22 pips of energy regeneration.
- Energy Drain - Gain 0 ... 1.57 ... 1.86 pips of energy regeneration.
- The baseline for non-elite energy regeneration has traditionally centered around 1 pip of e-regen for a skill slot (Glyph of Lesser Energy), and elite energy management at about 2-3 pips, with attribute scaling skills often having secondary effects or being able to scale further for the point investment.
- Suggestion
- As long as they're going to be split from their PvP versions anyway, set the recharge to 15 on both (PvE) skills. Thus, they become -
- Energy Tap - Gain .53 ... 1.24 ... 1.59 pips of energy regeneration.
- Energy Drain - Gain 0 ... 2.06 ... 2.44 pips of energy regeneration.
- Which is more respectable without being excessive. (Especially because even Mes primaries don't max out Inspiration, anyway.)
- The point of those skills is not energy denial. They are for managing your own energy.
