Yes Replacement Healers

Issue:Devona is still outside of serinity temple after completion of the quest.
How to fix:Remove her from Pockmark Flats after "Help Devona defeat the Charr warband" is complet.
Additional info:None

This issue has been handed off to designers. Will update when I know more. Ben Kirsch 01:55, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
This was fixed in the 2/6/08 Update, today. -Kim Chase 23:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes Kilroy's Punchout Tournament

Issue:There is no reward
How to fix:Add a reward
Additional info:Looking through the history of the article it seems this quest used to have a reward but seems to have disappeared for some reason, or perhaps this was intentional for some reason?
Broodling67 02:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

You receive 120 Dwarf reputation points upon knocking out the last opponent. The only exception is once you have reached Rank 8 (Courageous Delver) players can only receive additional reputations points on Hard Mode. Mike Zadorojny 5:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes Monument

Issue:When some people have completed all the quests in the UW or FoW, they get no monument in the HoM
How to fix:Give them a monument
Additional info:Seems to be Random, either with heroes or not. Disconnects or not, Using a scroll or not. Since these areas take 3-4 hours to complete then this is a nasty bug, dettering people to try

Shan 22:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

One solution would be to add a quests which is automatically obtained upon entering the zone, allowing progress to be tracked in the quest log. -- Gordon Ecker 05:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
I believe this issue was addressed in the October 11th Update. Overarching Quests were added to make progress through the missions easier to follow. Ben Kirsch 21:08, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes The Elusive Golemancer

Issue:Players who have not completed Lab Space can be brought into the instance for The Elusive Golemancer, but will not receive the quest or credit for its' completion.
How to fix:Prevent entry into the quest instance until everyone has completed Lab Space or allow characters who have not completed Lab Space to receive credit for completing The Elusive Golemancer.
Additional info:Other repeatable primary quests may have similar issues.
Gordon Ecker 05:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

This is behaving as it was designed. With the exception of the final mission in Eye of the North, A Time for Heroes, players who are not eligible for missions are allowed to assist others in them, but will not receive credit for their participation. Mike Zadorojny 8:39, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes The Elusive Golemancer

Issue:Sometimes the Worker Golem on the first level stops moving before it reaches the Golem Gate Lever.
How to fix:Unknown.
Additional info:None.
Gordon Ecker 05:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

This bug appears to have been fixed. -- Gordon Ecker 09:28, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
It was listed as a fix in the September 27th Update. Please update if this is seen again. Ben Kirsch 23:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes Plan A

Issue:When in a party greater than one only one person gets the credit when the plans are taken back to the Captain.
How to fix:Spawn enough plans for everyone in the party, or give everyone credit when one person returns the plans.
Additional info:None
Archangel Avoca 03:19, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

This was also fixed in the September 27th 2007 update. When a player turns in the plans, the objective is completed for all party members on the quest. Ben Kirsch 00:15, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes Abaddon's Mouth

Issue:(Bonus objective) The ghost of Leah Stone you're supposed to escort takes a very long detour after she's released; instead of immediately heading out of the Mursaat fort she'll walk slowly to the top of the wall and to the bridge precisely above the gate which she walked through already. This makes the bonus extremely boring to complete as the ghost walks slowly until she gets out of the fort, and leaves the ghost with barely a minute to spare during her run - if she gets stuck fighting for longer than that she will disappear before reaching her goal and the bonus will fail. Also, some have reported the ghost getting stuck along the way; the long distance she has to walk to reach the bugged waypoint may have something to do with it.
How to fix:Fix the waypoint; move it away from the bridge so she won't go around and walk on top of it before continuing on her path.
Additional info:None
--130.234.176.241 23:54, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

After speaking to design, this seems to be functioning correctly. Leah Stone was originally set to walk to allow the player to defeat groups before she reaches them. Thank you for the report, hopefully this explanation helps a bit. Ben Kirsch 23:26, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes Kilroy's Punchout Tournament & Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza!

Issue:Even though you filled all the energy bar, you are still KO'd.
How to fix:Only affects Necromancers with Soul Reaping. You're KO'd, and something will die. Gives me like +13 energy, however, that energy isn't counted. But it makes it look like it is!
Additional info:Being a game developer myself really helps debugging. So cool! :D

This was a good find. A bug has been sent to the coders, hopefully this will be resolved soon. Ben Kirsch 00:48, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
This was fixed in the January 17th 2008 Update. Ben Kirsch 21:07, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes The Hunt

Issue:Does not complete once all shard wolves have been killed
How to fix:Have it keep better track of the wolves alive
Additional info:The first wolf was attacked by a spirit right when the quest was taken and credit was not given for anyone in the party for the first wolf
(This was a very very aggravating bug, we completed everything in the FoW except for this one quest that was bugged) Gondor 07:10, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

This issue was fixed in one of the November updates. Mike Zadorojny 8:33, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes The Tengu Accords

Issue:It is not necessary to talk to each delegate before Minister Wona offers the dialogue option to begin the summit.
How to fix:Prevent the dialogue option to begin the summit from appearing before talking to the delegates.
Additional info:The mission also has a text issue detailed at User talk:Bobby Stein/Text bugs
-- Gordon Ecker 11:16, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

This isn't a bug but is by design. Players have the choice of ignoring the delegates altogether if they want. The dialogue enhances the story but is optional to read (probably a good thing since many people will be replaying missions to unlock secrets and probably won't want to click through mounds of text to trigger the next event). Thanks. Bobby Stein 21:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes GW: Pre-Seering - Gwen - Can't get shred from her after giving her items.

Maybe I've missed a step but I started by giving her the flute at her request, Then Red Iris Flowers (at least 10 but probably more like 15). I was never able to figure out if I was missing something or if she's broken. I've recently crossed over to seering and now find out the item from her quest is required in seering for another quest. I'm playing GW due to taking a break from WOW. GW seems to be a really good game with potential to be one of the best. thanks for you time . Sasha Soui

You miss the Small Girl's Cape. you can buy at any merhcant for 200g. --Bob 02:09, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
You don't need the cape, but it helps. I gave Gwen her flute and about 5 flowers and she handed me the shred. There appears to be some randomness to it. - User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 02:18, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
I received the Tapestry Shred after giving her the Flute, and 10 flowers. This seems to have just been bad luck. Sorry to hear you missed the Tapestry Shred, keep on reporting if you see anything else. Ben Kirsch 23:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
This issue seems to appear if you go out in a party with someone who has alrady gained the shred, before doing so yourself. Backsword 22:37, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes Against the Destroyers

Issue:If all the steps for 'Against the Destroyers' are not followed exactly, then the game believes you have not completed 'Heart Of The Shiverpeaks' and will refuse to offer you DD/AtfH's at the scrying pool
How to Fix: Most problems seem to be with the quest chain for 'Heart Of The Shiverpeaks, if you miss any step (like not speaking to Jalis twice) the game will let you continue the quest chain but will not allow you to re-acquire quest at the pool. Reacquiring quests is essential to completing handbooks.
Additional Info: Guildwars Guru thread on this problem [[1]]

This has been reported to Design. Ben Kirsch 21:10, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
A fix was implemented in today's update. Please post if you are still having issues. -Kim Chase 01:13, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes Kaanai Canyon

moved from User talk:Gaile Gray

Gaile, I have a question. I sent in a support ticket to Anet some months ago concerning the Kannai Canyon bug (the bug which allows kurzick players early access to the arena through a glitch in the ressurection shrine. they could push themselves through the gate and start capping before the timer is done counting down). that was 4 months ago, and still there is no response from anyone at NC. I'm getting worried now because whenever we're in kannai, this glitch is being used constantly, allowing kurzicks an easy win. anything you can do to influence NC and Anet to finally fix this? its starting to get annoying. Thank you. 68.35.88.45 23:29, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

This sounds like a question for MikeZ! I will move this over to his page now. Thanks for the report, and our apologies that we were not able to look into this earlier. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 03:04, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
We're looking at this. Any additional information you have would be appreciated. -Kim Chase 23:31, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
As I said here, it seems to be the eastern res shrine, at least. I started in the western shrine and noticed once or twice people were moving from that shrine, over the bridge, to the Northern Equipment Station. — Galil Talk page 01:19, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I keep finding more posts of this to update! A fix was put in for this with the 03/06/2006 update. If anyone sees this still happening, please post again! Thank you everyone for your help on getting this fixed. -Kim Chase 22:00, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes Unable to Re-acquire Quest

moved from User talk:Gaile Gray

Personally I would have preferred that this bug was fixed long before the 3 months it's taken so far to do so and still counting. My main toon had completed GW:EN, got my Droks Recurve bow, saw the fireworks, is now playing in HM. When HM was introduced, I cashed in the freebie hero book, and went to get a new book so I could work on the other titles I wasn't acquiring quite so fast as the others. I went to the Scrying pool to add the quests to fill the book. However the pool had all the quests available other then Destruction's Depths. Not a problem, I'll go re-do it with a guildee who is also doing it, it'll update and I'll be back on track. The team leader got a warning about my toon, and I got one on the 2nd level, and another on the 3rd, that I was doing the story out of order and I wouldn't get the reward. Now it's important to mention that I at no stage, 'ran' any of the quests or skipped out any of them either (mainly cos I was doing them with other guildee's), however I do believe that I may not have followed all the steps of Heart Of The Shiverpeaks, (there's a chance I didn't speak to Blackpowder because someone else in the party had already done so, and the same may go for Jalis Ironhammer). So I re-did Heart Of The Shiverpeaks with a PUG who had it active, and again with a guildee who wanted to complete the dungeon. Once I'd done that, the scrying pool stopped offering me A Time For Heroes as well. When I attempted to help a guild group doing AtfH's in HM the party leader was told by Alkar that I wasn't ready (even though I had previously already done the quest in both NM and HM). So now I can't get the quests, can't be a part of a team doing the quests, and I also can't fill my hero books thereby dropping their value from 20,000 rep points to 12,000 in NM and from 30,000 to 18,000 in HM, and it also makes it much more difficult for me to finish the Master of the North title track. I've filed more than one support ticket for this bug, so have a number of other people similarly affected, there is a 3 month old thread in the Outstanding bugs of Guild Wars Guru, I've even left a quest bug report on Mike Zadorojny's talk page (almost a month ago), to no reply. I (and others) would appreciate any help you could provide to resolve this bug. Many apologies for the long winded post.

The exact same thing happened to me with Destruction Depths. I can neither aquire the quest from Jalis, nor from the scrying pool, nor do I get credited for the quest when doing it with others who have the quest. Quite annoying. --Xeeron 13:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I am sorry, but I cannot address bug reports. I think it's wonderful that you think I can do all that and what I really do, too, but I'll need to ask you to post this on the page of our QA Lead: Mike Zadorojny. I know he and his team will look into this. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 06:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Already done that, a month ago... :( 82.16.137.96 02:54, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I will see what I can learn. Thank you for your patience. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 00:56, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
I've sent a note to QA about this today. I may have received a response and simply misfiled it, but I'm checking to make sure. :) It is the weekend, so we'll likely need a few days to respond. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 19:16, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
QA confirms they are actively working on replicating this bug, and it is a priority for them to assess, so that the devs can resolve the issue. Thanks again for your patience. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 21:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I believe the part I missed was taking to Blackpowder which part of Heart Of The Shiverpeaks Quest. If I can get another character to that point, I'll see if I can deliberately re-create the problem myself. Many thanks for your assistance.. 81.144.246.195 18:23, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I passed along those details -- they may help with the replication. Thank you. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 08:04, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

(Reset indent) I am going to move this to Mike's page now, so he can check off when they have nabbed the bug. -- Gaile User gaile 2.png 06:17, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

This issue is being tracked. -Kim Chase 18:13, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
A fix was implemented in today's update. Please post if you are still having issues. -Kim Chase 01:15, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

YesPlague in Cantha

Bug Plague in Cantha.jpg

Issue: (minor bug) The second step can be triggered multiple times, resulting in several identical buttons
Steps to reproduce the issue: finished the quest Terror in Tyria, but didn't get the reward, then talked to mhenlo in Consulate Docks again.
Additional info: It seems all of the buttons work regardless.

Thanks for the post. A bug has been submitted for this issue. Ben Kirsch 18:28, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I believe this was fixed in the 7/10/8 update. Thanks!-Kim Chase 00:03, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes quest: Punch the Clown

The special habilities does not work!!. Only the firt one seems work properly

They're adernaline skills; you need to charge them first. Backsword 22:34, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
You need to equip the Brass Knuckles Kilroy gave you. --Valshia 22:36, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Valshia is probably right. All but your first skill during Punch the Clown require you to have the Brass Knuckles equiped in order for them to be used. -Kim Chase 22:04, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes Service: Practice, Dummy

Issue:The world map shows Mano a Norn-o as location
How to fix:Give it the appropriate location
Additional info:The cause could be that it uses the same instanced area as Mano a Norn-o
User Karuro Icon.png Karuro 21:39, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

You are correct. This map is titled in this way because the name of the instanced area is the name of the quest it is used in. This was named this way intentionally. Thank you. -Kim Chase 21:11, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

YesSunjiang District

User ZeeWolf Sunjang Bug.jpg
Issue: Two Spears of Archemorus
Steps to reproduce the issue: Try dropping the Spear of Archemorus several times - sometimes it won't dissapear for a few seconds as it should - instead it stays on the floor, and when spell activation is complete, second spear appears next to the one dropped. Both of them work normally - you can take them (one at a time), they do recharge , when dropped they do damage. Lately it happened again (i don't do this mission too often, though) - managed to capture the screen.
Additional info: None

Hmm, this is different than what I'm seeing. For me the spear stays when you drop it, but you can't pick it up for a few seconds wile Archemorus does his thing. The spear never disappears, and I couldn't spam-drop it to get a second one to appear. You must be doing something different that I can't figure out. -Kim Chase 21:21, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Some changes were made in the 12/11/08 to keep the spear from duping. -Kim Chase 18:38, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes Last of the Breed

User Davor Belegnaur Bug LotB quest.jpg
Issue: Mirza Veldrunner takes more than 3 Giant Tusks despite the description of the quest.
Steps to reproduce the issue: Accept the quest with more than 3 Giant Tusks in your inventory.
Additional info: I had 8 Giant Tusks in my inventory when it happened.
Davor Belegnaur 07:40, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Looks like he's taking different amounts depending on how many you have, which is not right. Thanks for bringing this up. -Kim Chase 01:24, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
This should have been fixed in the 10/9/2008 Update. Thanks again! -Kim Chase 19:56, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

NoMission log

mission log is completly blank --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:65.26.207.133 (talk).

Probably not a bug. Missions only show up in the Quest Log while you're in them. -- Gordon Ecker 01:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

No Gyala Hatchery

Issue: Young Turtles are not recognized as party member thus don't get heal nor protection from AI(Heroes and henchmen).
Steps to reproduce the issue: Just proceed with the mission.
Additional info: None

The young turtles are healed and protected by hero and henchmen AI. They just die very quickly. -Kim Chase

No Crystal Desert Story missions seem to be buged.

The ghostly hero won't start any of the crystal desert missions.

Missions in Prophecies are not started by an NPC, they are started by entering the Mission Outpost and hitting "Enter Mission" with the exception of Augury Rock which can be accessed by speaking with Great Ritual Priest Zahmut after completing the three trials. To complete the other Desert missions (which are the three trials) Simply enter Thirsty River, Elona Reach or Dunes of Despair and hit the Enter Mission button. Once you have completed all three, you can return to Zahmut, click "How do I get into the mesa at Augury Rock?" And then "Accept." --Andrew Patrick 22:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

No Defend Droknar's Forge

Issue: Unable to get the quest. I get the dialog from after Hell's Precipice but before The Titan Source and the only option is I'll be on my way.
Steps to reproduce the issue: I had the quest and I abandoned it and now the Vision of Glint will not give me the quest again.
Additional info: None

After abandoning this quest I was able to get it again with ease, so I'm not sure why this is blocked for you. Please contact Support and give them whatever information they need. They will be able to look more directly at your character and see why this is occurring. -Kim Chase 19:51, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
