I'm sorry, you must have accidentally typed "Yes" when you obviously meant "No". Let me fix that for you.
  • Is the skill good? Yes No.
  • Is the skill worth using? Yes No.
  • Does the skill need change? No Like puppies need air.
  • Does it worth an elite slot? No.
That's much better. --71.229.204.25 01:36, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Lulz, I see absolutely no reason to run this over Gale. Cursed Angel, learn to grammar. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 06:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Lightblade was still wrong Correct that
  • Is the skill good? Yes Not even when Hell freezes over..

o i c but wer did i spel sumthin wrong? I stil tink teh skil wuld be beter for mesmer and extend for asasinz --Cursed Angel talk 14:39, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure forging other people's signature is against the rule. Wastrel's Collapse can be used to extend the duration on Diversion. Diversion can be cast through Holy Veil, then quickly covered by Wastrel's Collapse (1/2 sec cast). If target doesn't do anything, WC will trigger and cause additional disabling duration. If target choose to cast, it will trigger Diversion. If target choose to cancel Holy Veil, then only WC will get removed. The skill has it's use, just there are better elites. Lightblade 11:03, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
There's no problem with him quoting you, he's not "forging" your signature, he's giving you credit for your work. And what are you talking about with diversion and veil? No one cares about the duration of diversion, much less enough to devote an elite to it. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 21:40, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
But what happens, if the target doesn't use any skill and gets knocked down? Nothing. Maybe the target can't run away for 2 seconds, or the Assasine can use skills based on knocked down, but it doesn't realy show an effect.Yullive 21:33, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I Second that idea! Prokiller88 03:38, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Switching Extend and Collapse might be an excellent idea, but either way Collapse needs a buff of some sort. It is too easily ignored by using any skill. Cant really think of a solution right now with the immense amount of fail it has.Falcon Assassin 05:34, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Rename the skill "Shadow's Collapse" "Elite Hex. You shadow step to target foe, target is hexed for 20, next time you hit the target with a dual attack that foe is knocked down." 10 1/4 20
Hows that? Prokiller88 15:14, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Im not sure if this is easily implementable but; my suggestions would be, duration set to 4 seconds (5 was a bit high), then, if target moves, the 4 second decreases by a calculated rate. this would increase the controlling aspect of the skill. u either stand still, use something to remove the collapse, if u run, then it wont take 4 seconds at all...--220.245.178.136 11:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Lilondra's issue

I disagree. Stone Sheath wins the worst elite competition. User Klumpeet Klumpeetsignature.jpg Klumpeet.talk.cont. 09:21, 9 March 2008 (UTC) And how is a aoe hex going to beat a stance or use anything and its removed elite :p?

"The same effect as Mark of Stability, but with a Shadow Step." Where would the step happen? On cast, or when the hex triggers the KD? If you mean the latter, that's entirely useless. 76.89.81.150 05:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

You shadowstep to target foe and the next dual attack you use against that target causes knockdown.Something likethat but then a hex.Lilondra 10:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Whoa that's fucking powerful. Dark Morphon(contribs) 10:55, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Me/A

Sure, this skill sucks totally. However, there is one skill that works nice with Wastrel's Worry/Collapse, and that is Diversion. First hit with Diversion, then both Wastrel's. You give your target a choice, either use a skill and make it disabled for another minute, or allow him to take 80 damage and get KD'ed at the same time. If KD'ed, spike the living hell out of him! --Treasure Boy 23:46, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Im shure you have lots of skills to spike the living hell out of him on a mesmer/a.Like empathy *crap* or backfire * crap* oh wait we can use the rest of our energy because that combination is far better then just timing diversion and pleaking him right after.Lilondra 07:46, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

I've made a build around this skill on, indeed, a Me/A, and earned myself 6 gladiator points. I think it would probably fit better in the Mesmer tree, but that doesn't make this skill useless or in need of a buff. The Diversion-Collapse-Worry combo is a nice one, along with some damage skills. My suggestion, make a build involving the two Wastrel's and spam the hexes on everything that moves in AB. You'll notice this skill is far from useless, just not a good-for-everything chuck-in-your-bar-and-be-a-winner Elite like Ursan Blessing or Searing Flames, and I thank Anet for the excistance of such more subtle Elites. And, as I see this coming, yes, my team in those RA matches was allright, a monk, necro and a mending wammo.--TalkWhy 18:02, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I've earned 10+ glad points with a Mending Wammo. Doesn't make Mending good, nor does it make the Mending Wammo build good. The number of glad points earned using a particular skill is completely pointless. You are probably the only person on the wiki that doesn't want to see this get buffed. 76.89.81.150 00:08, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Smiters boon

i think this skill is like this, as the see now way to change it and keep it blanced, like smiters boon (pvp) but now that we have pve/pvp skill split i dont see why this hanst been changed, i mean comon u chnaged flashing blades instead of this! Annoying And Deadly 22:55, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

.....? I think you were trying to say this:" I think that this skill is like smiter's boon, as they(ANet) see no way to change it and keep it balanced. However, now that we have the PvE/PvP skill split there is no reason why this shouldn't be buffed, I mean, ANet buffed flashing blades instead of this!" Assuming you were trying to say that, the biggest difference between smiter's boon(pvp) and wastrel's collaspe, is, simply that wastrel's collapse has never been buffed(nor has it been attempted), but smiter's boon(pvp) simply had to be nerfed to balance the game. Anyway, there are 101 ways to buff this skill without it being OPed, tbh. Removing the conditional knockdown will already make this skill balanced.Pika Fan 12:25, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Cleanup

I hope nobody minds, but I tidied up the formatting a bit and corrected a couple of spelling and grammar mistakes. :-) 82.27.252.185 15:58, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Maybe

the skill is a wastrel type and ends on skill usage, maybe a more reasonable penalty like next skill used is disabled additional (x# seconds...maybe equal to diversion and change it to deadly arts line), thereby discouraging a skill usage and upping the chance of a conditional KD, without being too overpowered. and maybe up the recharge to the minimal skill disabling duration. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:192.156.33.34 (talk).
