Skill type. An item spell is a skill that creates a bundle in the caster's hands. The bundle item causes an effect while held and/or when dropped.
Bundles created by item spells represent urns containing the ashes of dead heroes.

[edit] Characteristics
- Always self-targeted. As such, range does not matter.
- All item spells require energy to activate.
- May have an additional cost (sacrifice).
- Has an aftercast delay.

- There are many things affected by holding a bundle, these will always be relevant when using these skills. See that article for details.
- Only Ritualists have item spells.
- Most item spells will not drop when the duration specified ends. Instead, the item held will disappear. Items that are lost in this manner will not yield any benefits as though it were actually dropped.
- Item spells will drop and activate on death of the holder.
- If a player is running when an item spell reaches the end of its duration, the player's weapon will appear in the urn's place and the player will run carrying the weapon in the same fashion as they were the urn until movement ends.
- A player may still be under the effects of a weapon spell while holding an item, even though that person is not visually wielding a weapon.

- Bundle items that are part of missions can have the same function as an item spell. For example the Urn of Saint Viktor has a drop effect.
[edit] Visual Identification
The general nature of an urn's effects can be determined from its appearance. Red, rectangular urns have offensive effects. Orange, mushroom-shaped urns have defensive or supportive effects. Silver, ovoid urns are only created by Lively Was Naomei, and resurrect their creator and their nearby allies when they are dropped.
