Bencher

A bencher is a player in a PvP-oriented guild who is not a member of the core PvP team and seldom, if ever, plays in GvG matches. Such a member is said to be "benched". In the case that the guild has a cape trim they may also be referred to as a "cape leecher".

This is a reference to sports teams where replacement players are forced to sit on a bench on the sidelines waiting until one of the better team members is unable to play to get a spot on the field.
