- Characters gain this effect once for each completion of a primary story arc of Guild Wars Eye of the North (Northern Allies, The Missing Vanguard, and The Knowledgeable Asura).
- This effect is simply an indication that a new vision awaits at the Scrying Pool in the Hall of Monuments. The effect is removed once the vision has been viewed.
- If you miss a vision, it will be available again after finishing the quest A Time for Heroes, which is the end of the storyline of Eye of the North.
- Characters who completed Northern Allies during the Sneak Peek Weekend (which ran from August 24th-26th 2007) received this effect. It could only be removed by buying Eye of the North and watching the vision.
