Gold Charr Salvage Kits drop after the 6-22-2007 game update in pre-searing Ascalon. They are the equivalent of a five-use Expert Salvage Kit.
On top of the chance to receive rare materials, Charr Salvage Kits also have at least one guaranteed chance to salvage the modifier of your choice from an item with salvageable modifiers.
