Chkkr Brightclaw is a Mantid boss found in a small lake in Melandru's Hope. It may appear alone, but when attacked, other Mantids spawn around the edges of the lake.

If vanquishing this area, the mantids that spawn around Chkkr are easily avoided. If you stand at the top of the stairs located near this boss and attack him with a longbow, you can actually pull him to the top of the stairs to be safely killed away from his group.
