Fast faction farming[edit]

Current Methods of Fast Faction Farming
Kurzick Faction Methods
Morostav Trail speed clear (MTSC) Using 2 Assassins with spammable dagger attacks, 3 Dervishes with PBAoE direct damage, 2 Monks with bonds and 1 healing Monk, a party can quickly vanquish Morostav Trail for Kurzick faction, starting from Unwaking Waters. The run will give, on average, 22,500 Kurzick faction and takes around 16 to 22 minutes to complete, depending on the experience and setup of the party.

Using this method alone for the equivalent of 1 hour per day (or 50,000+ Kurzick factions per day) will achieve Savior of the Kurzicks within 100 days.

Luxon Faction Methods
Mount Qinkai speed clear (MQSC) Based on 600/smite groups in combination with spirits, smiters, tanks, finisher and a runner in order to farm Luxon faction by quickly vanquishing Mount Qinkai, starting from Aspenwood Gate. With an average party, faction rewards can come anywhere from 10,000-11,000 a run and runs take 7-12 minutes.

Using this method alone for the equivalent of 1 hour per day (or 50,000+ Luxon faction per day) will achieve Savior of the Luxons within 100 days.

Balthazar Faction Methods
Zaishen Elite speed clear Based on 2-3 Ranger Trappers and 1-2 Ritualist and/or Elementalist finishers. Traps are laid down by the gates while the timer is running down, and then the turtling party waits until the foes run into the traps. The finisher kills off any remaining foes with trappers laying more traps around the dying npcs. A "full run" is usually 16 rounds (or 20-30 minutes) to gain the maximum of 6,000 Balthazar faction.

Using this method alone allows Non-PvPer's to achive Zaishen rank 3 within 167 days for the purpose of Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator.

Historical Methods of Fast Faction Farming
Amatz Basin The December 11, 2008 update made this run impractical.

Parties are usually 4 perma-sins, 3 warriors, and 1 monk. The perma-sins will tank the enemies to keep aggro off the refugees and the others will use speed boosting shouts such as "Charge!" to speed their evacuation.

Drazach Thicket speed clear (DTSC) This run fell out of favor due to better rewards per hour from MTSC.

It uses four teams, each with one 600HP tank and one smiter to quickly vanquish Drazach Thicket for Kurzick faction, starting from The Eternal Grove. The run will give, on average, 17,000 Kurzick faction and takes around 13 to 20 minutes with an experienced party.

Securing Echovald Forest This quest was affected by the November 13, 2008 game update and this method is no longer possible.

This was the easiest and most popular FFF method in the past. It involved running to four points in Melandru's Hope which could be accomplished simultaneously by four runners or by flagging heroes and henchmen to the points. The update changed the quest, requiring you to defeat the enemy spawns at those points, so a quick run is no longer possible.

The Jade Arena This run fell out of favor due to better rewards per hour from MQSC.

This run starts from Breaker Hollow or Jade Flats. It involves repeatedly completing the Jade Arena quest by killing the foes that spawn in the arena.

Maishang Hills speed clear (MHSC) The March 11, 2010 update made this run impractical.

It was also based on 600/smite groups in combination with a runner in order to farm Luxon faction at Maishang Hills in Hard Mode, starting from Eredon Terrace. With an average party, faction rewards could come anywhere from 14,000-17,000 a run and runs took 9-14 minutes.

Scout the Coast This quest was affected by the November 13, 2008 game update and this method is no longer possible.

This was the Luxon counterpart to Securing Echovald and was accomplished in the same manner, running to four points in Mount Quinkai which could be accomplished simultaneously by four runners or by flagging heroes and henchmen to the points. The update changed the quest, requiring you to defeat the enemy spawns at those points, so a quick run is no longer possible.

Notes[edit]

  • Double Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood weeks will allow you to get double Imperial Faction from win and losses (in addition to double Balthazar Faction and Imperial Faction fom kills), which can then be converted at any moment to Luxon, Kurzick (1 imperial => 1 luxon/kurzick) or Balthazar (3 imperial => 1 balthazar) faction.
  • Double Faction Support weeks will allow for double points toward the two titles from all sources (except storybooks).
