Feedback:User/Guild Wars 3 perhaps/UI Customization

I'm not sure why the decision was made to remove UI customization from GW2. It was a great feature in GW1 and it's unfortunate that it isn't present - or present to a much lesser degree - in its successor. I can understand needing to keep some elements ever-present on the screen because of how the current game is designed; the dynamic event progress meter and info text in the upper-right corner, for example.

However, even if we're not permitted to choose which UI elements to show and which to hide, at the very least please give us the option to place them where we want on the screen. The mini-map for example. It is - as far as I can tell - glued to the lower-right corner of the screen. For me, personally, that's the worst location; there is the potential that it can block my peripheral view of an enemy creeping up on my right flank. In GW1, I move that map to the upper-right corner so I can better see the terrain and enemies immediately surrounding my character. Simply being able to resize it in the lower-right corner or constantly toggle it on and off isn't good enough. I want to be able to place it where it's convenient for me. If this could be done in GW1, why can't it be done in GW2? So much of GW2 is absolutely amazing; but please don't throw out convenient and proven mechanics from GW1.

Thank you for reading.
