Feedback:User/Knighthonor/ new Class Dual Spec Action Bar system for GW2

I Suggesting the Dual Spec system to become more Balanced and Pug Friendly for all open specs. Some personal Specs are lame, and don’t work well in a Persistent area, or grouped contents other than for personal use soloing.

I am suggesting a new “Class Dual Spec” system for GW2 which will makes all specs more pug friendly both in PvP and PvE without removing the “Card Deck“ skill set system.

I feel it would be of best interest if Each Class had Some form of Permanent Parent Spells that are not a part of the Limited “Skill Deck” Action Bar system. All players who chose the same parent class will carry at all times these unique permanent skills on a additional action bar alongside the 8 slot changeable action bar.

It should look like so…[edit]

[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] this is the 8 Slot action bar that has changeable skills like the current system.

And Underneath this Action bar, is the Parent Class’s Standard Action Bar Skill set (Which is the same for All classes of the same Parent Class.) It doesn’t Matter how Big or small this “Standard Parent Bar” has to be, as long as it gives us the tools to do the parent class main role at any given time in a pug in the Persistent world.

[a1] [b2] [c3] [d4] [e5] [f6] [g7] [h8] this would be a Permanent action bar for the Parent class as explained above. These Spells cannot be changed. (Ignore the key names in the example box)

With this system in play, it will not make players of lame specs 100% useless in a random event that requires Player Puging in the Persistent areas without preplanning.

Examples again:

If a Ritualist player enjoys bringing all Weapon Buff skills for some reason unknown, they will not become useless in a Caster oriented Pug group, because the Ritualist would have baseline heal and Shock spells at the players disposal.

-- A monk who likes smite spec, and bring full damage spells, would have access to Heal spells, to heal incase a pug needs a healer

NOTE:[edit]

You have tools to perform your main role, but by far they does not replace a Pure Spec of that role.

Example: A Smite monk would have Base Heals, ||but|| will not be anywhere near as strong of a healer as a Healer spec-ed player.

It would hold up good enough for small pug groups, but not for serious grouping like hard dungeons. --Knighthonor 19:10, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
