This is to suggest two skills with near identical properties and a similar purpose. Here is the Description.

Energy cost: 10

Casting time: 1 sec

Recharge: 25 sec

This could be altered to make damage and duration dependent on one of the title tracks such as Dwarven, Mastery of Eye of the North or Lightbringer, but you get the basic idea. This is to give some objective incentive for obtaining these weapons and putting them in your Hall of Monuments. As is, the benefits of obtaining them are not nearly worth the effort necessary, especially in the case of the tormented weapons. Most of the weapons don't look very good, at least compared to other styles such as the zodiac or voltaic weapons, and the only objective benefit to having them is to pass them on to our characters in GW2. This benefit, however, is meaningless as the exact nature of the HoM in GW2 has not been revealed and most of us don't really want these styles of weapons for our characters in GW1, how are we to know we won't prefer the styles in GW2 over the destroyer or tormented styles? From what I've seen in the concept art, GW2 weapons look far superior to anything in the destroyer or tormented arsenal. More than that, there are a greater variety of armors which can be passed down and obtaining a set of prestige armor is about equivalent in difficulty to obtaining one or two of these weapons. Besides that, the idea of having exclusive armor for our characters in GW2 is innately more attractive that having exclusive weapons. So I find myself more motivated to spend money on armor than on these weapons which I would then have to further customize just to make them worth using. End-game and Unique weapons are far more desirable both aesthetically and objectively. However, if these weapons could be used to enhance builds they would quickly become worth the effort of obtaining.
