I just randomly walked in talmark wilderness (yeah I know; lol I'm bored), now there's shining blade guards standing around and dropping down from trees... Is this news or am I a slowpoke? -Cursed Angel Q.Q 08:21, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

There is a thread on gw2g following it.. — PmaN  08:25, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Were they foes? The explorable area page doesn't list them. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 08:26, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
No, all allies. Livia included, it's a modified version of Talmark. — PmaN  08:31, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
If you speak to them, they say they are going to Lion's Arch to restore Salma to power. Salma is also in the Shining Blade camp. Reaper of Scythes** User Reaper of ScythesJuggernaut1.png 10:28, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I just visited Talmark 2 times in a row, the new npc's were not there.. -- Cyan User Cyan Light sig.jpg 11:19, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
How far are you in Prophecies? Have you completed GW:EN? --Santax (talk · contribs) 11:20, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Ah, that can be it. Time to use another character ^^ -- Cyan User Cyan Light sig.jpg 11:22, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
They make reference to stuff like the Henge of Denravi, I was wondering what would happen if you tried to go there before completing it...I think we need to note that they only spawn after completion of whatever quest/mission on their pages. --Santax (talk · contribs) 11:44, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Where they do pop up somewhere? InfestedHydralisk 14:59, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind, found it. InfestedHydralisk 15:11, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

I like how they are adding all of this stuff under out noses and not documenting it. Makes it more like a puzzle which is always fun! Does this remind anyone of the Portal ARG? Jus' sayin' --User Phnzdvn sig.png Phnzdvn 18:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Fixed the size constants of the world[edit]

What does that mean?--203.94.61.143 09:06, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

You are no longer a miniature. Paddymew 09:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Ahh right. Thanks. I thought it might have meant the map was more square or something.--203.94.61.143 09:38, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Gwen / Thackeray Dialogue[edit]

I'm certainly not a slow reader but I thought this dialogue is faster than your average one. Markus Clouser User Markus Clouser signature img.jpg 11:29, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

A Sign[edit]

Any thought that this is a precursor to a later update that involves some sort of additional quests against the White Mantle? Or am I being too hopeful? Is it merely a little reference to GW2 by way of setting up the scenario that ultimately we don't really get to "play"? -RonJewart --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.116.58.249 (talk).

It's all up in the air, but given that the 5th anniversary is right around the corner, I daresay I am not alone in believing there to be more to soon follow. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 16:15, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
I expect it's both a precursor to new content and a nod to GW2... probably there'll be some new anniversary quest which helps tie GW1 into GW2. Widowmaker 17:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
See Upcoming changes and features#Content update (the last point regarding GW2) and Guild Wars Wiki talk:Community portal#White Mantle, Shining Blade. --Silver Edge 02:01, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
I am almost certain that this is a precursor to ... if anything ... a possible 'end of GuildWars' event. Evennia's dialogue is almost 4th-wall breaking when asked about their troop buildup in the Talmark Wilderness. "These are perilous times. The fate of Kryta hangs upon the decisions we make here in these woods. Before long the Princess will be moving to Lion's Arch to reclaim the throne... and then the end game will begin." -- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 11:33, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Perhaps the Guild Wars team has decided to help fill the gap between GW1-GW2 by filling in some more lore and setting the stage for the events that lead up to the books and all. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a small (or maybe bigger) quest chain come up that'll set some light on the upcoming releases.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 01:50, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
I would say "end game" is more a reference to strategy and tactics. E.g. a chess match has an opening, a middle, and an end-game. 71.146.94.98 02:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
