Feedback talk:User/Greener/PvE skills for the Doppelganger

Come to think of it, the AI should be used to adapting to dynamic skill bars when it uses thieving skills etc. Does anybody have any insight on if the AI would care that its skills change moment to moment? Or is that a common scenario that it handles? G R E E N E R 07:30, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

ArenaNet seems to have made up their mind that the Doppelganger is not to be using PvE skills, as the Monday, January 18, 2010 update goes to show with them stopping it from using Vampirism. Also, if they did give it PvE skills, it would likely have the equivalent to 10 Friend of the Kurzicks/Luxons rank, which is quite a bit higher than what many people likely have, giving the Doppelganger a quite an advantage. --Curse YouCurse You(talk|contribs) 19:42, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for the link. I agree with you about them having too strong of PvE skills, and I thought that this flaw would be less than the doppelganger not using them at all. I know the doppelganger is not that big of a deal in the game, I just felt sad for the guy being so easily beaten. G R E E N E R 00:30, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Just curious, is there a reason you don't like that others are able to easily exploit PvE only skills against the Dopple? I mean if you want it to be harder, you could simple add a bunch of powerful skills to your skill bar, reduce your own attributes to zero, and never cast a spell or use a skill. I'm not judging, just making an observation. -- Rivendahl 04:10, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Oh, no, I can easily exploit it, and I do. I just don't believe that's the way it should be, but as has been pointed out, it's likely not to change. G R E E N E R 04:18, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Support[edit]

I support this: the Doppel should use any build brought by the player, even if the AI will have trouble using skills that were never meant to be used by NPCs.

Of course, I don't expect this will make Augury Rock challenging, since ANet won't have the resources to make the Doppel smart enough to counter builds based on empathy, enfeeble, etc.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:09, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
