Doesnt seem to have any flaws, i mean, i'd love to put a bounty on a GM for basically, all my items :> --NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon6.png 14:43, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

like you'd be able to kill a GM anyways... and i don't think people would use this really because them dying doesn't mean much... they'll just come back... people would probably sooner use it on themselves or friends to grief others... which doesn't sound positive at all. ~~ User Kiomadoushi sig.png Kiomadoushi 01:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
^This. NOt only with the possibility of griefing, but the problems with how GW handles player deaths, taking out someone else isn't terribly satisfying. Still, I've run into more than a few people I"d like to see "Swim with the Fishes".--Will Greyhawk 05:24, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't think a bounty system would work in Guild Wars. There's no long-lasting effect to dying. If you lost items by being killed, then yes, it'd be pretty interesting. As it is... meh... I just just see someone running a survivor build and having a friend place a huge bounty on their head. They then run out, attract some attention, and lure fools into an ambush. --Atanna Charta 06:02, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

Player bounties in WvW[edit]

I think that players that do excpetionally well in WvW matches should have "bounties" placed on them. These players could have a simple mark or an aurora like bosses placed on them. Rewards for killing these players could be increased money, exp, better drops, or temporary buffs. With this reward players would likely focus attacks on them, so shouldn't this player get a bonus to help avoid death or just be rewarded for staying alive? After all they're doing great in the first place, so why not. Anet if you don't like the bonus reward idea then just put the marker on the character so its easy to designate important enemies.
