Forgotten Guardians are protecting the teleporters which transport players from The Arid Sea to Crystal Overlook and vice versa.

In the Arid Sea, when requirements are not met:

"This portal leads to the Desolation, a deadly wasteland shrouded in poisonous sulphur mists. You do not have the means to survive in such a place so I shall not grant you passage"

In the Arid Sea, when requirements are met:

"This portal leads to the Desolation, a deadly wasteland shrouded in poisonous sulphur mists. You do not have the means to survive in such a place so I shall not grant you passage"

"This portal will take you to Crystal Overlook, inside the Desolation in the north of Elona. I can sense your command of the junundu, a very rare talent indeed these days. As you will have no problems traversing the sulphurous wastes, you may travel there if you wish."

In Crystal Overlook, when requirements are not met:

"This portal leads to the sacred Crystal Desert of Tyria. I cannot allow you to pass unless you are familiar with its dangers"

In Crystal Overlook, when requirements are met:

"This portal leads to the sacred Crystal Desert of Tyria. I cannot allow you to pass unless you are familiar with its dangers"

"I sense you have a purpose in the Crystal Desert. This portal will lead you to the Arid Sea. Are you ready to travel there?"

• In either way, you need to have completed the Gate of Desolation in Nightfall and Sanctum Cay in Prophecies to travel with them.
• This portal enables vanquishing the whole Tyrian desert with a party of 8. Start from The Mouth of Torment, and take the western portal. then, through the Crystal Overlook, get to the Arid Sea, Vulture Drifts, Prophet's Path, Salt Flats, Diviner's Ascent, Skyward Reach, and The Scar.
