History

Founded by The Ply, the guild A Society was established roughly 2006. In it's beginning the guild was intended to be mainly focus on PvE play, but soon evolved into a guild that took up both styles of gameplay; PvE and PvP. The guild has always been, is now, and plans to be small and stable. The guild for a long time has been a private guild that is rarely advertised. The leader and the officers, having knowledge of each other outside of Guild Wars, work together to bring it's small count of guild members, and themselves, together to create a stable, small guild that also impacts with it's presence in all forms of game play.

The guild has attended Luxon alliances that it's friendly guild, Sinister Swarm [sin], has took part in. Being in an alliance with Sinister Swarm [sin] as the alliance leader, the guild A Society has remained, like in past alliances with them, a quiet guild that talks mainly among guild chat, but still puts an effort into attending the alliance's activities and conversations.

On November 30th, 2009, A Society has been considering being more public to the game's population, such as advertising more. Due to their new alliance's leadership, the guild took the road to pursuing a more PvP-powered guild, but still doing PvE objectives. However, December 3rd, the guild, along with Sinister Swarm, left the alliance and reformed another alliance in which Mugged By Sinister Swarm was leader of. Still, with the guild's new look on publicly advertising more, they're considering GvG play in the future when the amount of members is right.

After roughly a year of affiliation with Sinster Swarm, [sin] broke up leaving not much left in the alliance. [AS] made their departure with it.

On January 19th, 2011; the former guild leader The Ply stepped down from the position of Guild Leader to Guild member willingly due to 'feeling obligated to attend to the guild daily and it's members.' "I don't have the time to devote to this guild any longer, though I strongly wish I could and I hope so in the future." The Ply claimed. After years of service to [AS] as leader, he promoted Nim Del Garruk to guild leader. He requested to be a member--not an officer. " I don't want a burden on my shoulders from this guild. "

After a week of time had passed, The Ply and Nim Del Garruk discussed the future of A Society [AS]; as a result The Ply became the leader once more and the guild took on, again, the role of being a private, small guild with little-to-no structure at all. Development of why this happened is slowly making progress.

As of August, 2012: the guild has halted all progress to increase its numbers and well-being. The guild keeps to itself and it's members within--doing whatever task they please in preparation for Guild Wars 2's release.

The A Society guild is current under a private status--no actual system of organization is formed or followed.
