Ancestors of Melnibone is a part roleplaying and a part title hunting guild built by our leader Elric, a big fan of the books of the same name The Elric Saga. Our RP storyline follows the life of Elric, thought to be one of the last Ancestors of Melnibone still alive thousands of years after Elric VIII ruled the lost kingdom of Melnibone. Like the story of Atlantis, some talk about such a wonderous and magical place as Melnibone. A kingdom that lived for centuries and feared nothing. For the few who hear the ghosts of Melnibone calling them, We are here.
In these times Melnibone is little more than a whisper on the wind, once a story of a proud and decadent kingdom, now all but forgotten.
The Elric of this time, Elric Coy is thought to be a direct descendant of Elric VIII the Albino Emperor. Tortured with the same moral conflicts as his distant relatives, Elric Coy is driven by lust for knowledge and desire for power. In his dreams he is tempted by his Ancestor's patron Demon... Arioch with with the power and knowledge his Ancestors. Wanting the knowledge for his own sometimes selfish means Elric has also been known to balance his lust with kindness and mercy for his fellow adventurer. Often fighting the very demons that give him is knowledge and power. This same balance of good and evil puts him on the doorsteps to hell fighting the never ending hordes of foul creations from another realm and in the field training new recruits for the future ahead.
We all have a battle of good vs evil raging inside us. Right vs Wrong. None of us are perfect and many of us stumble more than once, but our efforts to make this world a better place will be remembered even if only by the chosen few. Take up arms and join the Ancestors in the quest for knowledge, power, and peace of mind.
