The Demonic Order Of Malevolence is a Tyrian, Luxon Guild. Formed post-searing by Carver Of Tyria and Spartan Prime, and currently consisting of 12 members, it strives to protect Tyria, Cantha and Elona from inevitable danger.

History

Carver Of Tyria, a Necromancer, and Spartan Prime, an Elementalist, were both venturing down similar paths, to complete similar goals. Having only ever worked alone, Carver found it difficult to accept Spartan's offer of companionship, however it soon proved beneficial. Upon the first night of their travels, a monstrous clan of Charr warriors attacked the land upon which Carver and Spartan had set up camp for the night. Spartan and Carver fought back immaculately, and eradicated the Charr with ease. With an immense compatibility between them, Carver and Spartan continued to quest alongside one another for months to come. Until it came to the stage that their adventures needed to continue. They decided that to help others upon their journeys, they should set up a guild for the worthy. The Demonic Order Of Malevolence.

Gathering more followers, DOOM became more and more powerful, gaining tens of students by the week directly from training academies. With companions flooding the Guild Hall, the Guild had become much more than either Carver or Spartan could have expected. Upon reaching ascension in the Crystal Desert, Carver realized that young candidates were lacking potential, and his guild had become little more than a home for many students. Enlightened by this knowledge, he stormed the Guild Hall, throwing pupils out of the DOOM guild, accusing them of lying to the Gods. Spartan, shocked by this harsh act by Carver, was troubled in continuing the Guild. He chose to depart from the Guild due to Carver's harsh actions, before returning once more to the Guild Hall a year later, seeking assistance in his own Ascension. Carver accepted, and welcomed his friend back.

When Spartan ascended, he too saw the light Carver had, and together they decided to create a much smaller guild, filled only with those they deemed to have potential. No longer would they train the hopeless, but only those they could foresee being powerful masters. Numbers began to rise once again, but this time, they had power. The Guild grew stronger and stronger, striving to achieve their goals.

DOOM quickly began to expand, and with the construction of The Band Of Merry Men, created an alliance between the two guilds. BoMM was formed by ex-officer Jimmy Necro of Orr, in an effort to save the land of Cantha. Shortly after, the Alliance was met by another hopeful alliance companion- The Sand Rogues of Elona (TSR). The Guilds worked together for a lengthy period, slowly expanding and strengthening, before the Exodus of DOOM took place.

The Exodus of DOOM was a conflict forming between guilds, and has become a forbidden topic of discussion within the guild. People of influential power within the BoMM proposed and presented a concept in which the three guilds travelled to Orr and captured the kingdom as their own, rebuilding a great Empire. By this stage, it was evident that corruption due to Kurzick infiltrators had influenced the decision. Carver Of Tyria refused to allow his guild to participate in such a blasphemous and power-mad event, causing a political rivalry between leaders in DOOM and BoMM. After months of debation, BoMM separated from the Alliance and moved onward to Orr, to capture as their own.

Nothing was heard of BoMM for weeks, Carver of Tyria constantly demanding updates on the situation. It was not until a month after the journey began, that a message was received. A battered and beaten Elementalist arrived at the doors to the Guild Hall with a message for Carver. 'We have failed. Don't come looking for us.' The letter was signed by Jimmy Necro of Orr. Carver reported the news to the leader of TSR, who immediately demanded that the Guilds created a rescue mission to rescue the remaining members of BoMM.. Carver refused. Nonetheless, TSR launched a rescue mission, deep into the kingdom of Orr. Carver of Tyria did not speak for days, in horror of what had become of his once great Alliance.

Only two members of TSR survived, Garakahuya Treeler and Arrows of Tyria. Both scarred and beaten, they returned with no survivors, and refuse to speak of the events which took place in the fallen kingdom of Orr. They both agreed to return to DOOM, and were welcomed back as heroes by Carver of Tyria, even if he had deemed their decision irrational and hopeless.

During the ceremony in which Garakahuya Treeler and Arrows of Tyria were awarded, another Necromancer stumbled through the door. Immediately, monks began to heal his deep gashed wounds, and broken bones. Spartan Prime ran from the podeum to the fallen Jimmy Necro of Orr, and began to levitate him out of the room towards somewhere where he could rest. He refused to speak of what had happened, or how he escaped.

After the Exodus of DOOM, the guild still stands strong, rising in numbers and becoming saviors of more and more lands. One day, another alliance may be formed, but for now that day is still distant.

Carver, Spartan, Shadowgirl, Jimmy and Danyboy celebrating Greggles Day

A word from Carver:

Never could I have predicted such a mighty power, and extreme feeling of companionship from the Guild. When Spartan and I first formed the Guild, I had no idea it would amount to this. Together we can save the lands of Tyria, Cantha, and Elona. You have the potential. You have the might. And you have made your leader proud. And when I retire or am struck down in battle, I can be sure that the Demonic Order Of Malevolence will be left in the hands of one of my capable apprentices, to become yet more powerful. May the Gods be with all of you.

Carver Of Tyria

Guild: DOOM

Rank: Leader

Carver of Tyria was found by a group of patrolling Necromancers, hidden in a crevice in the Great Northern Wall, meters away from the charred corpse of his father. The leader of the Necromancers saw potential in the boy, even at this young an age, and took him in as his apprentice. He named him 'Carver', after his grandfather, who had been one of the greatest warriors in the Guild Wars. For fifteen years, Carver travelled alongside the Necromancers, training him in the art of Minion Mastery, until he could compete with the leader himself in magic.

It was not until the day of the Searing that Carver was alone. He was awoken by the chants of 'War' outside, and the corpses being carried past the window. His master entered, and told him that we were finally going to war- to battle the Charr. And that they would both be on the front line. Carver and his Master battled for endless days, slaying Charr, and defending the great city of Drascir. In the Battle of Drascir, his master fell in battle, hacked to the ground by a Charr known as Pyre Fierceshot.

Carver survived the Searing, and was eventually decommissioned from the frontline, however he refused to stop fighting for his nation, in his Master's name. It was in his journeys he met Spartan Prime, an Elementalist. A formidable power alongside his own, as they decided to work together in the Charr offensive.

Carver and Spartan created the guild The Demonic Order of Malevolence a few weeks after, working together to create a guild to fulfill their wishes to save their nation, and fulfill their destinies. The guild grew more powerful than either of them suspected, and sometimes Carver will stand in the tallest tower of the Guild Hall and look down over the Guild he created. Surpassing his own power and wealth, they have become more than he could have hoped, and have made him proud.

Spartan Prime

Guild: DOOM

Rank: Officer

Spartan Prime was a member of an influential family in Kryta. The day the White Mantle announced control, and pledged Kryta to their unseen Gods, Spartan's family spoke out against them. Calling them Blasphemers, and traitors of the tradition. The very next day, Spartan Prime awoke in a blood spattered prison, his family bound in chains around him. One by one, he watched them tortured and killed. He was imprisoned there for weeks, his only conversation and shed of light being from the Elementalist across the chamber. The Elementalist taught him how to master basic skills, use his rage and anger to create fireballs with his hands. Days later, the Elementalist, too, was killed.

When it came to Spartan's turn, he was escorted by two armoured members of the White Mantle prison guard. Spartan Prime bided his time, waiting for the moment when they were alone, and used his newly found abilities to blind the White Mantle, erupting balls of flame in their eyes. Escaping, he began to run. Run endlessly, easterly. Further than he had ever travelled. Over the shiverpeaks, using Dolyak corpses to keep him warm at night, and training himself greater in the Elementalist skills, cooking his own meals by use of his magic.

When he arrived in Ascalon, they refused him settlement. The royals of Ascalon refused to allow a Krytan citizenship, at least they would have if they hadn't been in such dire times. The Ascalonian royals would allow Spartan to take solace in Ascalon if he served in the battles against the Charr. He served in battle for weeks on end, fighting for his right to remain in Ascalon. Eventually, he was allowed the citizenship, however still not allowed to live in the Capital. Spartan Prime chose not to take up perminant settlement, but to travel the nation, explore his new home, and train himself to be the greatest pyromancer known to Tyria.

It was on this mission that he met Carver of Tyria, a necromancer, with skills that rivalled his own. Together they formed DOOM, and to this day work together to create peace. Even now, as the most senior officer in DOOM, with new responsabilities, and claims, he still has the fire of rage burning inside him. Every time he battles, he remembers the torture, his family, and the Elementalist that had saved his life.

Jimmy Necro of Orr

Guild: DOOM (formerly BoMM)

Rank: Officer

Jimmy was a strong-willed warrior, originally born in Orr. After escaping the destruction of his homeland he travelled north to the now ruined Kingdom of Ascalon, where he fought the savage Charr for just under a year until deciding to return to his family, who had fled to Cantha. He arrived in Kaineng City to learn that his younger brother had become an Afflicted. Driven by hatred and seeking revenge, he sought out a feared and dangerous group of Necromancers, who would go on to train him in the art of Blood Magic.

He was found by Carver Of Tyria and Spartan Prime many months later, whilst trying to battle a large group of Afflicted. The two strangers stepped in and helped the overwhelmed and bloodthirsty Orrian and the three of them just about took down the surrounding enemies. Thankful of their assistance, Jimmy agreed to Carver and Spartan's offer of companionship and became the third member of the DOOM Guild.

However, eventually having to choose his priorities the Necromancer left to form a Canthan-based guild, The Band Of Merry Men, for all those who had come to hate the Afflicted and could help him rid them from the continent. He joined in alliance and still fights alongside his old friends, most of the time leaving his officers to run things back in Cantha while he concentrates on helping the Ascalonians after the Searing.

Jimmy, Necro Of Orr travelled in the first of the DOOM alliances until the Exodus. Although Jimmy tells a very different story of the events that took place during that time, he does admit to his mistakes. His judgement clouded by Kurzicks and not knowing what to believe anymore, he found his way back to the DOOM guild hall. He was welcomed back by Carver and is now constantly trying to prove his loyalty, while refusing to tell the story of why he is the only BoMM member left.

Danyboy Of Tyria

Guild: DOOM

Rank: Member

Danyboy of Tyria was discovered alone by Spartan, begging on the backstreets of Ascalon. He had been the descendant of a famous trading family, the Ecto's. A family so famous, their name was used in their honor to name the 'Globs Of Ectoplasm'. His parents lives just south of the Northern Wall, in a large mansion on private grounds, however this was one of the key entry points for the Charr, and the house was quickly burnt to the ground. One Charr entered the house, and slaughtered the parents. The baby was left with blood dripping over his body, in the arms of his mother. The boy was left to crawl the backstreets of Ascalon, nobody believing he was the offspring of the Ecto family.

Until one day he was discovered by Spartan, when Danyboy attempted to attack and steal the money Spartan was carrying. Spartan and Danyboy fought, however even though Spartan speedily won he was impressed with the skills that the teenager had accomplished. Spartan took him back to the Guild Hall where he was trained as a Necromancer by Carver, and at the age of 20, Danyboy was welcomed as a member into the DOOM guild.

Unfortionately, Danyboy of Tyria was overcome in the Southern Shiverpeaks by a group of Mursaat. Instead of killing him instantly, they chose to bring him a greater sense of torture, as they knew him to be a member of DOOM. They gave him a disease known as 'Worcroft', which slowly rots the brain away, dissolving it into nothingness. Danyboy collapsed and died three weeks later in the Guild Hall.

Garakahuya Treeler

Guild: DOOM (Previously TSR)

Rank: Member

Garakahuya Treeler was a ranger, raised and trained in Ascalon City. After the Searing, he actively sought out the guild known as DOOM, prophesied to be great. After many months questing, he managed to contact Arrows of Tyria, while engaged in battle in the Crystal Desert. He asked for entrance to the guild, and Arrows bought him before the leaders. He was put through extensive testing and study, and found to have great potential. He joined DOOM, as the first member to actively seek out the Guild.

After many months membership, he was exploring Elona, a new and troubled land to him. He saw a fellow ranger being attacked and overwhelmed by a group of corsair. He shouted at the ranger to duck, and fired an arrow, directly hitting two of the enemies in the neck, before launching a flurry of attacks, instantly killing them all. As the ranger revealed himself, it was shown to be Arrows of Tyria.

After this event of great heroism, Arrows of Tyria and Garakahuya Treeler united in a separate guild, to find the potential of this newfound land - The Sand Rogues of Elona. The Guild functioned well together, growing in numbers, and showing a great degree of progression and usefulness to the alliance. He remained in the guild until the Exodus of DOOM.

He was one of the only two survivors of the rescue to the kingdom of Orr. Since which, he has refused to mention any of the events which took place in the mission, and anything he saw in Orr. He was reinvited to the DOOM guild, after the loss of his own, along with Arrows of Tyria, and greeted as heroes.

Shadowgirl of Tyria

Guild: DOOM

Rank: Member

Shadowgirl of Tyria was found being hunted by a deadly Ranger's Guild. The Guild had offered a great reward to anyone who could capture the young Ranger, dead or alive. For weeks she ran, taking shelter deep within the rotted trees of the depthy Maguuma Jungle. After an endless wait, she ventured outwards, with a handcrafted bow, and began to defend herself against those hunting her. Her primeval instincts took over, attuning her senses to her environment.

She was not found by DOOM until Arrows of Tyria, renowned Ranger, was questing deep within Maguuma Jungle. Shadowgirl was starving, and alone. She saw Arrows, and decided she would need to kill him to provide her with the food she required to contnue. She waited until Arrows was alone, setting up camp within a small cave in the cliffside. She fired her arrow, however Arrows immediately heard the twang of the string from behind him and dropped to the ground, forcing his own bow into his hands. He pulled an arrow from his quiver and fired it into the forested area from which the arrow had been shot.

Moments later, he heard a quiet scream, and the sound of twigs breaking underfoot. Moving into the forested area, he saw a trail of dripping blood leading deeper into the bush. Silently, he sped up, moving along the trail behind whatever had fired upon him. Eventually, he subdued Shadowgirl, casting a net over her, pinning her to the ground. He immediately recognised her as Shadowgirl, the girl who's face was plastered across every tree in the forest. She produced from within her pocket a letter, written by the leader of the guild hunting her. It read 'You have betrayed me for the last time. You will return the gems immediately, or I swear I will hunt you to the mists and back until I have your head.'. She reached into her pocket again, and produced the gems the letter spoke of.

Arrows looked on the girl, and remembered how he too had once had to resort to stealing when he was in a difficult situation. The girl began to speak. 'They attacked me. Every day, every night. I needed money. I couldn't live there any longer'. Arrows looked upon the battered girl, and slowly extended a hand. Wearily, she reached up and grabbed it. It had been so long since she had felt friendship. Arrows presented her in the DOOM Guild Hall, where she was accepted into DOOM, however still on the run from her previous Ranger Guild.

It had been several months since the rescue of Shadowgirl from the hunter's guild, when she was travelling with her companion, Arrows of Tyria, through the mighty Southern Shiverpeaks. They both had hunted together for many months, and were seeking to hunt much more challenging creatures. Neither one of them could forsee the events which would take place - So horrific, even members of DOOM sometimes refuse to believe in such atrocious acts. Shadowgirl was stood with Arrows in the centre of a valley between two mountainous constructs, when they triggered a series of ranger-set traps which even their expert detection skills had not detected. Shadowgirl and Arrows were immediately knocked unconcious by a flurry of attacks.

Several hours later, Arrows awoke. He was bound, unable to move, in the darkness. The wires had been pulled so tight, he could feel the blood seeping from his wounds. The only light source was a small fire in the centre of the room, allowing flickers of light to illuminate sections of wall. Before the fire, he could see Shadowgirl. She had obviously been woken up before, and intentionally placed there, for the sheer amount of bruises and cuts across her body was much more immense than the traps could have caused alone. A shadowy figure stepped from the dark confides of the cave. His steps drawing nearer, creating true fear in their hearts.

He grabbed ahold of Shadowgirl's hair, and pulled her upward. She lifted up, and above the ground. Her screams of agony dug deep into Arrows heart, as he pulled a knife from his belt and began to cut deep into her arms and legs. The blood poured across the floor, and the sound of her gargling and choking on her own blood filled the room. He dropped her to the ground one last time, and pulled out another knife - Arrows' knife. With one sharp, firm cut he decapitated Shadowgirl, and threw her severed head into the lap of Arrows. He sat, emotionless.

The man dissapeared back, decending into the night. Arrows had to act fast. The man could return any moment. He shuffled forwards, dragging his battered body to the knife used to torture Shadowgirl. He cut the ropes binding his arms and legs, and lifted himself from the ground. Taking the cape from Shadowgirl's back, he began to limp down the passage leading out of the cave. Arrows arrived at the guild hall several hours later, and was immediately treated by medics. Nobody knows who was responsible for the death, only that they showed no mercy, and they could strike again.

Arrows Of Tyria

Guild: DOOM (Previously TSR)

Rank: Member

Arrows Of Tyria, a speedy ranger and ex-officer of DOOM. Currently away on an assignment exploring the Regions of the Shiverpeaks beyond Jalis Ironhammers Dwarven domain. Whilst Exploring the dangerous Stone Forests of the Kurzick Terrotory in the lands of Cantha, Arrows Of Tyria came across the cursed Black Moa bird, a legend among Kurzick rangers alike. He quickly began work taming the beast. To this day forward Arrows Of Tyria travels along with his Black Moa 'Kyuubi' freeing the lands of Tyria from all that shall threaten her.

Mesmer Of Tyria

Guild: DOOM

Rank: Member

Mesmer of Tyria was found travelling across the Northern Shiverpeaks, alone and unknown to all. His immense and expanding understanding of the powers of the Mesmer allowed him to remove the memory of his existance from the mind of anyone with whom he met. It was not until he met with Spartan Prime, and attempted to use the ability to remove his presence, that DOOM took an interest in him. Spartan Prime allowed the young Mesmer to believe he had influence over him, however Spartan's skills had surpassed the range of the memory erasure.

Spartan waited, before eventually meeting with the Mesmer again in Ice Tooth Cave. Spartan not posessing advanced powers of the Mesmer, only had the potential to use the most basic of Mesmer skills, yet to a more advanced level than the young subject. He used the memory erasing technique on the youngster, to see if he would realise he was being affected. Immediately, he unsheathed his weapon and fired upon Spartan. Spartan easily avoided the weapons fire, and instead moved closer to the Mesmer, and announced his offer of companionship. The Mesmer reluctantly accepted, weary of his enemy becoming a friend. He remained weary, until Carver revealed himself. He had watched the entire proceeding from within the cave, concealed. Carver assured the young Mesmer that his future with DOOM would inspire him to travel to great lengths, and to reach his true potential.

The young Mesmer is still adjusting to his new found life in DOOM, but is expected to achieve great things, as the first Mesmer of the guild.

They predict he will become a powerful being, that will some day be able to save Tyria from it's impending doom.
