"He is Master and I am slave.
He is owner and I am owned.
He is to be pleased and I am to please.
Why is this?
Because he is Master and I am slave.

this girl lives for her Master,
His word is law.
she is for His pleasure always.
she is slave.
she is but to obey."

Tal to one and all, Free and owned. My Guild Wars name is Master Rycharde; and this guild, from it's inception onward, is for those who follow the ideals set down in the Chronicles of Gor written by John Norman.

In Gorean law, allegiances to a Home Stone, and not physical structures and locations, tend to define communities.
Blood Brothers of Gor, page 474

To one and all welcome to your new Home Stone, the Masters Of Gor guild. You may be a roleplayer or live the lifestyle of Gor. You may experience this through real or virtual life. You may find the novels intriguing. Join the Masters Of Gor guild, Home Stone for the Guild Wars Gorean.

"Where a man sets his Home Stone, he claims, by law, that land for himself. Good land is protected only by the swords of the strongest owners in the vicinity..."
Tarnsman of Gor, page 27

Guild Cape

All members within the guild will have the option to display the colors of the guild proudly or not, except in any PvP activities. I do hope you will show your solidarity with the guild by displaying the guild cape (which has cost me more than I would care to think about LOL).

The Emblem

First, I picked the emblem that made me think of the gold tarn disk Gold Tarn Disk. The problem about that image was at a distance it seemed no more than a gold disk. Next, I picked the image that could be taken as a side look of a tarn Profile of a Tarn. Difficulty there was that, at a distance again, the image blurred to make it unidentifiable. Finally, and I do mean finally, the emblem of choice is a stylized view of an eagle Stylized Tarn in Flight, or a tarn in our case.

The Field

The cloak itself is purple symbolizing a few things: 1) a non-caste oriented color, and 2) a unifying color under the uberate of Masters of Gor. This was a better selection than the Warrior Caste bent portraid via the red, or scarlet, cape that was the original hue.

Anyway, I see myself being a Scribe before a Warrior.

Recruitment

"Honor," I said, "has many voices, and many songs."
He looked down at me, startled. "That is a saying of warriors," he said. "It is from the codes."

If you are curious about Gor and all things Gorean do not hesitate in contacting Myself (Master Rycharde), My kajira (Rychardes Kallisto), or any of the other guild officers listed below. We actively look for well rounded and honorable players with good personalities and most importantly, maturity. Maturity is seen to be of prime importance within this guild.

Now this does not mean that one can not have a crazy time within the Guild. What it does mean is there will be no flame wars with members of this guild or, definitely, other guilds, other players who are not of the guild, as well as any actions that would bring shame to the Masters of Gor Home Stone, the members of the guild, players that are not of the guild, or Guild Wars in general. You are among a very small minority being in the Gorean lifestyle. Handle yourself as any Master, Free or kajir should.

Though, if needed, and I hope not, I will see to it that anyone found out to be engaged in any form of activity that makes this guild, any members of this guild, or Guild Wars in general look bad, they will be punished. Punishment may include suspension from the guild or even dismissal from the guild if their activities are found to be heinous enough to warrent such actions.

We met in the center of the room and embraced. I wept, and he did, too, without shame. I learned later that on this alien world a strong man may feel and express emotions, and that the hypocrisy of constraint is not honored on this planet as it is on mine.

Guild Administrator/Ubar (Leader)

Kurzick Alliance

Kurzick Banner

Kurzick.png This guild is Kurzick.
The High Castes in a given city elect an administrator and council for stated terms. In times of crisis, a war chief, or Ubar, is named, who rules without check and by decree until, in his judgment, the crisis is passed.
Tarnsman of Gor, page 42

This is of course the Leader's position, that of the Guild Administrator. No true powers of authority have been added to those imposed by the designers of Guild Wars.

Guild High Councilors (Officers)

As the leader of the Masters Of Gor guild, I am the Guild Administrator. Under me are the officers known as Guild Councilors. There are six officers, five are of the High Castes from the Chronicles of Gor — Initiate, Scribe, Builder, Physician and Warrior — and the sixth is the first kajir. The officer positions are listed below with the current councilors Guild Wars names:

  • Initiate Councilor: empty
  • Scribe Councilor: empty
  • Builder Councilor: empty
  • Physician Councilor: empty
  • Warrior Councilor: Najah Gatti
  • First Kajir Councilor: Rychardes Kallisto
As it is said, masters do not much interfere with the squabbles of slaves.
Captive of Gor, page 61

That quote is the reason I have made the position of First Kajir Councilor. Masters do not interfere in slave arguments or fights.

Caste System

Members may choose one of the various castes from the Chronicles of Gor if they so wish. Being from a caste or not will not effect the player in any fashion. Some will enjoy the aspect of being a member of a particular caste. Others would rather not take part in the caste system at all.

Below you will see that the castes are broken into two major and arbitrary divisions, that of High and Low Caste. Each caste has its own unique color combination. For instance, all Warriors call the color red (some say scarlet) as their caste color; they will wear that color of tunic to show their allegiance.

High Castes

These are listed in their presidence according to John Norman from highest downward.

Initiates

Scribes

Builders

Physicians

Warriors

Low Castes

Here is a list of all of the lowcastes I can find within the Gor books:
