Ohtori Academy [BARA]

We're a very small guild, founded in late June of 2009, created out of a desire to have a guild based on social connections, rather than what we do in game. We don't care your play style. As long as you enjoy talking with geeky, like-minded individuals, you'll be welcome here with us.

Recruitment

We're pretty loose about our recruitment policy. Most of these statements are simple guidelines, and beyond that, they're pretty common sense. Even so, please read over them, just so you know what sort of group we're like.

Also, as a side note, our alliance is very inactive, but that doesn't mean the founders are looking to move on any time soon. If you need an active alliance, you won't find it here for quite a while.

Member Recruitment Policy

The officers do occasionally do some light roleplay based on the character(s) they've adopted into the Guild Wars universe. It's not very overbearing, but it is something random and worth warning about. If that's a turn off, turn back now.

• Are you 18 or older? Or at least respectably mature for your age?
  • The founders are somewhat gutter-brained legal adults, and we would like to be able to joke with our guildmates without scarring their ears.
• Do you use, even in chat, basic rules of spelling and grammar?
  • Lady Chani, the more-often-than-not leader, is a grammar nazi. It makes her twitchy to have to read through lines upon lines of netspeak. You won't like her when she's twitchy.
• Do you love anime?
  • When we ask you your favorite anime, please try to give us an answer of something that hasn't shown on mainstream TV in the last couple years. We are old-school anime fans that remember when fansubs had to be traded on VHS tapes. If you have not expanded your horizons past what the TV gives to you, we will be sorely disappointed in you as an anime fan.
• Do you understand where the guild's name comes from?
  • The founders of this guild are rather big fans of this ten year old series, and if you don't even have a vague idea of where the name came from, we will probably annoy you with our chatter about it.

Officer Recruitment Policy

We will not make you an officer if you just joined the guild. The current group of officers is a close-knit group of friends, and we want to make sure any new ones added in will fit in well. If you're looking to become an officer in the future, talk to one of us and let us know. Make yourself available to play with one, or all, of the current officers for a week or two. If we like you, there's only one more task set before you: to create an unrepresented character to adopt into the Guild Wars universe (if you already have one, even better).
