This is a private guild for friends. It is not a serious guild. Members may be inactive for extremely long periods of time. This guild makes no effort to coordinate for PvP battles. Our goal is to have fun adventuring together, particularly on campaigns' primary quests.

Recruitment

Recruitment is open to anyone who plays Guild Wars and knows the current members personally. Please keep in mind that they may or may not be actively playing at any given period of the year.

The primary active player at this time is Javelina Angel.

Tips for New Players

If you are new to Guild Wars, please read this to avoid making noob mistakes that will thus cause others to laugh at you.

Play through the tutorial mission your first time in the game.

Black or White dye can be one of the most valuable loot drops you'll ever come across, and dyes drop from monsters of all levels. Never sell dye to merchants; instead, seek out the Dye Trader. Hold onto that dye until you find one. Do not sell it to players unless you've checked the color's price at a Dye Trader, and do not just willy nilly dye your armor with it without checking the Dye Trader first to understand what kind of money you're blowing. Black and White dyes are exceptionally valuable! Red, Silver, and Blue dyes have reasonable value. The other colors are generally not worth worrying about.

Similarly to dyes, common crafting materials and rare crafting materials should only be vendored at Material Traders. You can always buy materials from those traders as well, but when you need rare materials, note that it's sometimes cheaper to have an artisan craft it for you from common materials and a small fee.

Runes should only be vendored at Rune Traders. You will probably get most of your runes by buying them from those traders, too. Once you're more familiar with runes' prices, you will be able to decide when it's more profitable to salvage a rune from loot vs. just selling loot to a merchant. Salvaging often breaks the item so you can't count on being able to pawn both the rune and the loot.

Don't go through a portal or warp to town while in a combat zone with a group of other players. Doing so will either force the whole group to travel or split you off from the group. And that means either the mission gets aborted early, or you'll find yourself unable to rejoin the group without also restarting the mission.

Upgrade your helper heroes. Some players may prefer only human player allies, but we'll typically have computer heroes with us. If you're bringing some of them yourself, be sure that their weapons upgrades, armor runes, and skill loadouts are good. If you know your heroes are subpar, say so, and let someone else with better upgrades be responsible for bringing the helpers. No one wants the team to suffer.

When it's convenient, add your helper heroes that aren't yet Level 20 to your party when you're turning in quests. You and your partied heroes all get the full experience reward from quests. This is an easy way to level-up heroes without having to grind mobs in combat zones with them.

Skills are the core of all characters in the game. Read this to understand their various mechanics and how unlocking works. Putting together effective "builds" for you and your heroes is a huge part of Guild Wars and a major differentiator from other MMOs.

Attributes are what makes your skills more powerful. Remember that you can freely redistribute your attributes while in town.

All of your characters will use a weapon of some kind. Learn the different weapon types, and keep an eye out for a "max damage" drop that you can keep forever and apply upgrades to.

Upgrading weapons and armor becomes a priority once you've found your "max damage" weapon and purchased your "max armor" set of armor. You're not done gearing up until your weapons and armor are both maxed and fully upgraded. The specific upgrades you choose, however, are up to you and your ideal character build.

Do not buy NPCs for the guild hall. When you buy an NPC for a guild hall of which you are not the leader, the NPC is associated with you instead of the guild itself. Yes, the NPC will show up in the hall, but only so long as you remain in the guild. If you leave the guild, your expensive NPC goes poof. Neither you nor the Sunspear Dragoons will ever see that guy again! If you really want to contribute and buy an NPC for the guild hall, give your money to the guild leader telling him which NPC you wanted to add. He'll take care of it.
