The Order of the Destined Sages [DS]

[edit] Guild Lore
The Destined Sages were formed not so long ago. They were first a band of men, skilled in all six disciplines, sworn to protect the lands of Ascalon from harm. After the Charr attacked an annihilated the Kingdom of Ascalon, this band of men sought allies and followers. Extending it's reach all over the lands of Tyria, across the Clashing Seas to Cantha, and across the Crystal Desert to Elona it gathered more heroes to fight for its cause.
[edit] The Meaning
The Destined Sages has meaning of two parts. Destined being that all heroes in Guild Wars are "Chosen" which is explained in the storyline of Prophecies. Sages comes for the members of the guild in general. Sages are those that protect or guard something, but usually pertains to magic. In this cause, they protect the lands of Tyria but are also the physical bodies of the teachings or paths of the Five True Gods.
