The Smuttynose part of the guild name comes from the Smuttynose brewing company, http://www.smuttynose.com/ and a few of their beers have been a staple of ours for years. Their brown ale, Old Brown Dog, is where the guild tag comes from. Their pumpkin ale, as well as their IPA are really good as well.

The Grendel part of the guild name comes from the comic book series of the same name, created by Matt Wagner. It's not the Grendel of Beowulf fame, if you were wondering.

Our guild hall smells of rich mahogany. Our cape is 2 cool 4 words. Our members r friendly, helpful and fun. We have a Vent server and an active forum. We are [OBD]. Nubs need not apply.
