I nominate Vili. --Cursed Angel y so srs? 00:30, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

I am reasonably certain this is a joke nomination. I'm no User:Example (*high-fives Eloc*), but when you check my history/contributions, there's nothing to even suggest the idea that I could possibly make a good bureaucrat. I don't even know if I have enough legitimate contributions to vote for myself, in time-honored Soviet fashion.
I don't know the policies of GWW. I come from 2 years of life at GuildWiki, and heck, I don't even know the policies there by heart. I fly by my own interpretation of things, and if I'm wrong, then clearly the policy needs to be rewritten. If I understand GWW at all, this sort of behavior would not be tolerated. I live and die by discretion; the Guild_Wars_Wiki:Sysop_discretion_log disgusts me.
I hate red tape. This means that I don't bother with bureaucratic bullshit or due process or anything like that. If I understand GWW at all, that won't work here. Drafts for any sort of policy changes are meticulously drawn out, to the point of naming the article with date/time so it can be indexed for later reference. (At GuildWiki, we put things in the Sandbox, so to speak, and written policy tends to be outdated compared to current interpretations.) Whenever anything that could possibly be controversial or otherwise a shock to users comes up, a discussion is held first, a notice is posted on the Community Portal, "consensus" must be reached, etc etc. (At GuildWiki, no one really uses CP anymore, action tends to come before discussion except for truly important issues, and sometimes we even change the sitewide .CSS without telling anyone!) I am used to daily conducting important business outside the wiki, whether on IRC, through e-mail, in-game conversations, etc. I never let policy get in the way of me doing something that I feel needs doing; I enjoy abusing my status and power to make Wiki-life more comfortable for me.
I have been a sysop on GuildWiki for over a year. I have been a bureaucrat...well, for all intents and purposes, The Bureaucrat, for nine months now. But really, that means not much at all. To take a quote from Wynthyst totally out of context, "...'who you are' on Guildwiki doesn't matter here." I agree. Different wiki is different. Moreover, I'm a completely different person here on GWW compared to GuildWiki. GWW brings out my inner troll. Freed from the binds of administrative responsibility, I have no reason to contribute constructively or in good faith on this wiki. I use it solely for my fun and amusement. That is hardly a loyal character to call upon when campaigning for adminship! Do you really want to nominate someone who sees the Wiki as their personal sandbox? What could you possibly see in me?
Any more the eviscerate executioners... I mean, having said all that, I accept the nomination, if only because it would be major lulz to run against my Jedi master. Vili User talk:Vili 09:02, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

I hereby withdraw my candidacy and apologize for making a mockery of the system. Sometimes a joke can be carried too far. Vili User talk:Vili 01:57, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
